Lock Monsters take on the Bridgeport Sound Tigers tonight at 7:05.

Hopefully more Canes prospects will be in the lineup tonight than in the last game against Worcester. Sure wish there was a radio feed.

The Avs affiliate is the Hershey Bears...but Tanguay has been in the league too long to go back down to the AHL without clearing waivers first...He's been with the Avs for 5 years, 379 games. I can't recall the limits, but he's well beyond them.
He would tear up the AHL, though... :smoke:

Tanguay, Zednik jet off to Europe
Associated Press
10/7/2004
Star wingers Alex Tanguay of the Colorado Avalanche and Richard Zednik of the Montreal Canadiens are the latest NHLers to find their way to Europe.
Tanguay, who tied for 10th in NHL scoring last season with 79 points (25-54) in 69 games, signed with Lugano in Switzerland. He's due to arrive on Sunday and will play his first game sometime next week according to Lugano head coach Larry Huras.
Zednik, who led the Habs with 26 goals in 81 games last season, signed with Zvolen in his native Slovakia.
That brings the total of NHL players in Europe to 194 according to the International Ice Hockey Federation. Most of these players have lockout clauses that permit them to return to North America if and when the NHL labour dispute ends.
