Lock Monsters take on the Manchester Monarchs tonight at 7pm.
Not much else to report. Coverage of the preseason games is pretty piss-poor on the AHL's site. You think they'd at least have a lineup, but I guess that might be a gametime decision. I'd imagine Cam Ward will be in goal tonight, as he hasn't had a start since the first preseason game against Bridgeport, but that's pure speculation on my part. No radio feed again.

welcome to monsterworld aka disneyland.... pre game lineups, stats?! never happen. The office is so understaffed and they are loosing another guy next week. Turnover there is annual. The best thing to check is the AHL website after the game.
There will never be pregame lineups on the monsters website. I wish there were.... *sigh*.

Yeah, AHL on the whole is sooooo terrible with info! I have been listening to Junior Hockey Games since the PRE-Season (Calgary Hitmen, Peterborough Petes and Sudbury Wolves mostly) - it is just normal up there to hear all these games via the web...... amazing!
For anyone who wants to see live hockey and get the MSG Network via satellite dish or cable (AHL of course) the Philadelphia Phantoms vs Hartford Wolfpack will play next Saturday 10/16 @ 7pm. Also, if you're into college hockey there's a game on College Sports TV (CSTV) network also via satellite. I believe the match up is Maine and North Dakota and they start at 8pm (also on CSTV). (On Tonight 10/8)
And then there is 'classic' L.A. Kings, Tampa and FLA Panthers hockey in the coming weeks - One of the games being shown is Gretzky's first game in L.A.- my first NHL game "live and in person" all those years ago. (SIGH) Ok, I'm going on and on...but if you're interested, PM me, I'll send you dates- all are being shown on Sunshine Network and FSN.

Hmmm.... 8:52pm by my laptop's clock, but the AHL's scoreboard doesn't show a score for the Lowell vs. Manchester game. There are scores for the other games being played tonight, but not that one. Odd....

Do we really need a new thread for every single Lowell game? I mean-- what's the point? There's no TV broadcast. There's no radio broadcast. All you're doing is commenting on box scores you find on-line, when/if you can even find a score.
Wouldn't one thread that just says, "Lowell games" be enough?

Edit to add:
On the bright side, Monsters won 3-0!!! And Ziggy scored two goals!!! WOO-HOO!!!!

Ziggy scored a beautiful top corner wrist shot last night. He looked very good last night. I hope we see great things from him this year.
