I see '5th Anniversary' on the top of the crest...perhaps it's a special sweater for the anniversary?

I hope it's permenant...the old one was just a 'Canes jersey with a Lock Monsters logo on it...

It's a 2 year old picture of Rob Zepp...... good pic too...

FYI the preseason game last night against Manchester was cancelled because during warmups a monarch player shattered the glass (a shot I believe) behind the net and they couldn't get another piece of glass into the empty slot that was deemed safe by the coaches to play. Lots of unhappy campers on that one.....

And the canes coaching staff has been in town this weekend as well as the calgary asst coach.

That's not a third, it's the 5th Anniversary jersey that was used a couple of seasons ago. The Lock Monsters are still currently wearing the Canes jerseys with purple striping in place of the white.

This was a special jersey only worn during Sundays during 2002-3. It was a special edition for the Lock Monster's 5th season and all the jerseys went to ebay for auction. (If I go I'll be wearing Jeff Heerema's!)

I bet people were po'd - btw.... is it me or is it just next to impossible to find ANYTHING online about Lowell? The tidbit about the game being cancelled hubby found in some obscure reference to all of the other AHL games played on Saturday night (???) and I know the Patriots are the SB champs and that the Red Sox swept one of my SoCal teams the Angels and all that anyone cares about up that way is the death of the Yankees, but please, somebody tell me that there is some source for information online about the Lock Monsters! (the Sun and Eagle Tribune aren't overwhelming me with info :beatup: )...................

oh my yes, not alot of happy campers at that cancelled game sat night and to ge tthe $$$ back which people JUST PAID, they gave us vouchers and we had to go back to the rink to get cash, or take ticket vouchers for monarch games. oy.:)

As far as monster news...... baseball and football will continue to dominate up here until one of them caves. With the regular season starting this weekend there may be more coverage in the Lawrence Eagle Tribune, but the Lowell Sun is not a hockey paper - they love baseball. Even monster fans up here get more information about the team from other team's websites and other newspapers.... sad, but true. The Boston Globe will never have monster news, don't even bother looking.

I am sure those of us who are here will keep you all there posted. Also the AHL website score section is a good source of info, at least you can see who played that night.
