Mr. and Mrs. Larry Eugene Pope of Raleigh announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Nicole Pope of Raleigh, to Shane Robb Willis of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hal Orville Willis of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Miss Pope graduated from Cumberland University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Mr. Willis is employed with Tampa Bay Lightning Hockey Organization. The wedding is planned for July 12, 2003, at The Capital Church in Garner

Ashley Nicole Pope of Raleigh and Shane Robb Willis of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, were married July 12, 2003 at five o'clock in the afternoon at Capital Church in Garner. Roland Harrell officiated. A reception was held at Sisters' Garden in Raleigh. The bride is the daughter of Larry and Vickie Pope of Raleigh. Parents of the groom are Hal and Linda Willis of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The bride wore an ivory satin organza, mock two-piece, a-line gown. It featured a scoop neckline and short cap sleeves highlighted with light heading on the embroidery. The skirt formed to a chapel train with matching embroidery. She carried a cluster of Virginia roses with a hint of baby's breath. Kelly Woodell, cousin of the bride, served as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Amber Pope, cousin of the bride, and Heather Hardison, Brigette Dunlap, Beth Terry, and Shannon Wynne, friends of the bride. They wore fuchsia a-line empire waist gowns. Hannah Hardison served as flower girl. Aron Willis, brother of the groom, served as best man. The groomsmen were Jason Pope and Jeremy Pope, brothers of the bride, and Darryle Hawkings, Byron Ritchie and Kevin Ziola, friends of the groom. Soloist Lynette Reno and organist John Moody provided music. After a honeymoon trip to Maui, Hawaii, the couple will live in Tampa, Florida.



Hopefully Shane will be residing in Tampa along with his wife. ;) :D
