I'm actually quite pleased with how it's going so far...
Only 14-10 and State has kept the offense on the field, and just forced a punt as I'm typing this.
This could have been a blow out, but so far this team has the spirit and determination to win this.

Give it a couple of more quarters...it'll be great...:D

As I type this, TA fumbles again...

Of course State does horrible on the day/night I'm actually cheering for them. (sighs)

I was so hoping the Pack would hand Miami their (finally) first defeat. So much for that idea...

I think fans of all other ACC teams should get used to this. Miami and FSU in the conference. There will be a lot of ugly games.

 Welcome to the new ACC!

But you know, State in all reality could have won the game...mistakes were the dagger in the heart. It was a mental game, and State lost. Too many turnovers, and I think at some point it got in their heads. But I think they proved that they can play with Miami. at the very least...just a few key plays ballooned the score.

Yeah, no kidding.

At least they suck at basketball...

I still am against the expansion and I wish there was some way we could make them go back.

On the other hand, it makes us look more prestigious in everyone's eyes due to the tougher opponents in the conference. I mean, would we have gotten a free ad on ESPN and all day of national attention if Miami hadn't been here? This makes us look better for recruiting.

Also, I found out who Mike Corso was. Nice guy.

I agree Turby.. between the sloppy ball handling, especially the fumbles and Jay airing the ball out too much, we didn't have a chance to settle down and play our game. The worst thing was when TA fumbled the ball of of the endzone.. weren't we still ahead at that point?? ugh!

I think that's what teams like Miami do to other teams. They keep them from getting into their own rhythm. That's one of the strengths of a big time team that is used to winning consistently IMO. They set the pace. They play their game and make the other team play it too. And even if they play your game for a while, it comes back to them. State played well in the first half, but I don't think they ever had a chance to win that game.

Having big names in the conference is good, but not unless the other teams pick up the slack. Miami will have to do that in basketball and every other team will have to pick it up in football. Even FSU hasn't beaten them in a very long time. Everyone else in the ACC is now playing for 3rd IMO. I think Va Tech plays them pretty well, but it's still going to be ugly for a few years. JMO.

On the upside, Boston College will bring in the #1 ranked college hockey team. At least they are #1 now. That will be a nice change of pace for the ACC.

he will always pick the home team.. even if they are an underdog... they have to be a legit underdog though... he picked auburn while at tennessee because well its heresy not to pick auburn

Yea, if it was Duke vs. Miami, I can't see him donning the Blue Devil Mascot's head...

But those fans would have tore him up if he picked Miami. At least State had a hint of a rumor of a chance...

He is friendly though.
