I think it is really telling that the Hurricanes organization has NEVER developed their own goalie from the draft. The most any of them has played is 41 games according to Chuck. If they draft Fleury, who will he star for? Same question regarding Cam Ward?

since he was drafted in 1995, doesn't that mean it was before Karmanos bought the team. not that your point isn't valid about developing goaltenders, but I occasionally have to remind myself that some of these things happened before current management was involved.
