There' are two articles at ESPN.com about what all 30 coaches are doing during the lockout. They run the gamut, boring, interesting, funny.

This is my favorite quote:

I'm doing a lot more of the helping out right now. I've become very good at cleaning wine glasses. What does that tell you?" Crawford said. "We're not bored, but we are anxious and we're all a little bit antsy right now. In some ways you crave that busy lifestyle."

West Coaches:

I read EAST coaches yesterday (Happy Birthday Coach Laviolette...(12/7) ) You know all of these guys are just going crazy on the one hand, but you can see that many of them are happy to have a little time with their kids and stuff- but at this point, they're all probably ready for "Coach" to go back to work so they can go on with their regular routines without dad... LOL.....

Wonder how the coaches wives are handling this lockout?? I can imagine that coaches and players wives are really, really ready for this to be over.

I'm certainly glad to hear that Lavy is still here...and considers Raleigh home.

Great article!

she must REALLY being going crazy now, as he has been home for quite sometime, I would imagine.

I hadn't read that, but it's hilarious and sounds just like something Mo would say.

I read Bob MacKenzie's latest thoughts and he raises a good point - a point which I hope both sides recognize. He said they've got a 2.1 billion dollar pie in front of them and if they let a year go by w/o hockey, that pie will certainly shrink. So while they (boths sides) hold out for the biggest piece of the pie, they'll end up with a smaller one anyway.

Let's hope those wives insist on their full sized pie and beg them to get a deal done!
