Caniac Maniac and I are thinking about getting Center Ice next year. I need some feedback about the quality of the broacasts. FoxSportsSouth video and audio SUCKS! (We really enjoyed the HDTV broadcasts of the Canes this year). Does the Center Ice broadcast clear pictures with decent audio? We saw a Canes game on Center Ice against The Mighty Ducks is a sports bar in Tennessee while on vacation. It was on a regular, small TV, so I can't gauge it.

We really need to see all of the games not broadcast!

I love Center Ice, but I don't get it for Canes games. Most of them aren't on there if you're in the Raleigh area because they are on FSN and I am at the home games. The broadcasts are generally good. You get each team's feed so it depends on that quality to some extent. I don't have problems with the sound or picture most of the time.

You get to hear the different broadcasting teams which is sometimes good and sometimes not so good :)

I never regret having it and think it is actually a pretty good deal for the season, at least through TWC. I think you'd enjoy it and once you get it the first time...........

I was on the fence at the beginning of the season and did not sign up until mid-season sale. ($109) Since there is no chance of seeing any Canes hockey up here in the north, it's really the only way to follow them. I found it to be a great investment. Since there are so many games on, I rarely rented videos this year. No late fees to worry about.

Don't worry about getting your money's worth. Even if you are the only one interested in hockey, that may change. I was warned by well meaning family members that my husband and son would now take over my television to watch hockey every day. Not so. It was my 8-year old daughter and myself who took over the set.

Reception hasn't been a issue at all. In fact, the first game that I truly noticed any problem was during yesterday's Avs game. Then, it wasn't that bad at all, just barely noticeable.

Next year I won't wait for the mid-year sale. I'll be ready for Game #1.

i was considering CI as well next year because i'll finally have digital cable. if the mid-season price is $109, what is the entire-season price? $220?

I think for the last 2 years on TWC it's been $149.00. I call to confirm that I want it each year during the early bird time frame. I don't know what the cost is if you have a dish.

As earlier mentioned, if you want to get it for Canes' games, you will be disappointed...most of our games are on FSN or one of the Sports Alternative stations on Dish Network...

If you like seeing ALL hockey..then you will enjoy it...since the playoffs started, I have wrist and thumb "strain" from switching the tv back and forth between games..

..cool story Romney..sounds like Center Ice would be great for you and your family! ;)

I love Center Ice, and can't imagine life without it, but we are addicted to hockey and like to watch a lot of teams play. If you decide to get it for next year, order it right away and you can get it for free for the rest of this season:

Shell, thanks for that info. Although I did come across that, I put it away in the back of my mind.

Center Ice is great. I see more of my family now than ever.

I didn't go w/the Early Bird special and paid $159 for this season. I don't know what I'd do without it right now! ;)

I got it for the Early Bird Special of $129.99. I love it. I think there were about 10 games Canes games that I would not have been able to see without center ice. It is great to know that you can see a good game every night except for some Mondays. You really get to know a lot about the other teams and players in the league.

I really like that they break the payments up over 4 months too.

I highly recommend it!

Wouldn't want to live without it! I have loved having the oppurtunity to get familiar with some of the other teams style of play, and the few nights i got canes games that i would not have otherwise been able to see were priceless.
