I don't know if this is in the right forum, but I was wondering if there is a way to change your name and keep your current number of posts?

not sure. send a PM to Caniac and ask. He'll be back on tomorrow, he's been away from a pc for a bit.

I'm pretty sure administrators on this forum software can change the number of posts manually, so I suppose it would be possible for you to register a new screenname and ask Caniac to adjust the post total to the appropriate amount...though all of your posts on your screenname now would remain on that old screenname. But it is possible nonetheless...
I don't know if our fearless leader would be too keen on that idea, though. I believe he said before that he wouldn't change a screenname....though I might be thinking of an administrator at another forum that I post on.
Good luck! :spin:

changing post counts is a modification you have to code in. it's not a monstrous one, but it is work.
plus if you were to do that, old posts would not be associated with your name anymore... ie- if someone wanted to search on posts you've made, there wouldn't be any.. because the post count would be fabricated.
so all the posts you had made in the past would be on your old username, unless that account was deleted, so that you could register a new one... in which case those posts would just be gone I believe.
just a little clarification for ya.

I sent her a PM that I could do it manually, but that it falls under this sort of activity: http://www.letsgocanes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=266
[Joe Dirt]Maybe one day Unicef will get into the [sn changing] business, but until then, we're the people to see.[/Joe Dirt]
