Hi All,

I was looking at the Canes' new marketing plan http://www.carolinahurricanes.com/images/relaunch.pdf, and the offer for group tickets on opening night is too good to pass up (especially since that game is highly unlikely to be in a 10-game pack).

Basically, if you buy 20 or more tickets to Opening Night, you get an allotment for the same number of tickets that can be used for a group of club-selected games. No word on which games, how many there will be to choose from, if the free tickets will be in the same price area as the ones purchased, or if you have to use all of the free tickets together (I'd guess yes to the third and no to the last).

So, is anyone up for buy-one-get-one-free hockey? I have a call in to my rep and will post answers to the above questions and prices when he calls back.

depending on what the price range is, and assuming it is not in our 10 game pack, we would definitely be interested. Thanks for organizing! We're just doing a small package this year until we figure out how Cole does at games :)

I think that's a great deal too!

Maybe I just dreamt this up, but didn't the Canes make group seating really easy at some point last year - like you could all individually pay via the web but be lumped in the same group? Anyway - if so, it could make it easier for pulling a group like this together.

DJ is great - got back to me immediately!

The free tickets have to be used together - it's like a repeat of whatever we get for Opening Night. He said they don't have the schedule, but that aside from a few blacked-out games, just about any game is good for the free tickets.

I don't know where everyone wants to sit, but here are the prices for a group of 21-49 and 50-149.

Upper Corners $19, $17
Balcony Premier $26, $24
Club Level $60, $55
Center Ice Club $85, $75
LL North $47, $42
LL South $52, $47
Sideline Premier $75, $60
Center Ice Premier $80, $70

I was out of town for the last group game - where did you sit and what did you like/dislike about the setup?

We actually never did it because of schedules, etc.

In the past five seasons, opening night has been on the 20/21/24 game pack, but NOT on the 8/9/10 game pack.

With this setup, I can see that happening for the second game. And we won't know anything until the schedule comes out.

How about anyone who's interested posting how many and what price levels they prefer and if there's enough interest, we can revisit when the schedule is released?

We have 2 definites, 8 maybes, and like any seats on the sidelines. But I'm open for anything, really.

It really depends (for me) on what games are included in the 24 game pack. Once we have that information all will become clear... (rubs little hands together)

If you're talking about group tix for opening night (aka the Crosby Coming Out Party), we're definitely in for 2 1/2 tix (little Lucy's first game). I want to make sure I get tix for this one, so I am a definite.

we're cheap, if it is in the upper corners or balcony premier, then count as in as 2. If you guys want better seats then we certainly understand and will stop by to say hi :)

Yeah, I think I agree with Shell. Not only do you lose 50 IQ points when you have a child, but your icome goes down exponentially!
