Joe Barns is a Center that put up a lot of numbers last year. You can look at his stats here it you like. I am looking for a better page with information.

By living in Saskatoon I got to see Joe Barnes play quite a bit. People in Saskatoon always talked about Devin Setoguchi who went 8th overall and Wacey Rabbit who is predicted to go in the third round. However, I always liked the way Barnes played. He is a player who plays hard on every shift and is very gifted offensively. For those of you who do not know Barnes, I assure you that we got a great third round pick. I am glad that he is now a Hurricane.

I see that the Fourth round has started. There is a great player who plays for the Moose Jaw Warriors in the WHL named Blair Jones. He was predicted to go in the second round but still has not been pick. I believe that we have 2 picks in the fourth round. Keep your fingers crossed that we can get him.

So much for Blair Jones. Tampa just got him. Great pick for them.

Just for furture reference.....anyway we could have had one draft thread and kept all these together? Coming home to 45 threads about 45 picks is sorta hard to keep up with. :D

Thanks for your efforts. :)
And I meant to also say, thanks to all you guys for keeping us informed, even if it was in 45 threads. ;) Otherwise, I'd be wading through a big long list to find all our picks myself!

Amen- couldn't all these go under the 'draft' thread itself???

This way it is easier to find who got drafted in each round don't have to wade through 200 post to find something

Every thread created on the "Hurricanes Discussion" board in the last 8 days appears on the same page, nicely indexed by subject, sorted by date and time. You're welcome.

thats just fan-fricken-tastic that you know about thread ranking.
I dont know about you, but I know that it would be nice to have one consolidated palce to put all these topics. Why? because it keeps discussion flowing and you could have GASP a post that ties two picks together.
oh and I forgot to add that when we revist it, it would be nice to bump the WHOLE draft thread instead of 8 littler ones.
thanks for playing!

Sarcasm isn't needed or wararnted...he's right. It would be alot less cluttered and easier to navigate if there were 1 thread for all non-Johnson draft picks...Instead of a thread for all 9 picks, 8 of which nobody really knows or cares about and confuses easily, couldn't there have been 1?
I'm not complaining or anything, just wondering if you don't agree.

Doesn't really matter much to me either way; I was just going with the flow, during the draft, and with my response which I don't think ratcheted up the sarcasm level any more than what I was responding to or certainly what came after mine. I just don't think whining about the threads now is worth all that much... (shrug)

Personally, I wasn't whining. I was trying to be proactive.
New posters created the 45 draft threads and I'm thinking that maybe they aren't aware that this board usually isn't as disorganized as many others. In the past, it's been common practice to not just start a thread for every new topic that comes along but to try and keep related topics together....it makes it a lot easier for those of us who can't keep LGC open in a window all day long checking periodically. It's something I've always appreciated about this place and especially now since my schedule has changed dramatically and keeping up with this place is damn hard work, to be honest.
It was an simply an FYI for the newbies.

Didn't you know SHC, in the new post-lockout-era, even Game Threads will be split into 5 threads. There will be one for each period, 1 for the 850 Storm Front and 1 for the Aftermath. ;)
Yeah, guess the ship sailed on this one. Poor late round draft pick will come check out this Canes board and find 1 measly post about his selection.

What, we aren't going to have one for every goal we score? Wait......then we'd only ever have 2, huh? ;)
