I think the sock puppet song 'Goin to the penalty box, you been a bad bad boy' is original. Can't find a lyric sheet or song list anywhere for it.

My daughter and I are desperately saying to each other, 'That's a Carolina Hurricanes goal!', trying to jumpstart the melody for the song right afterwards.. not having any luck.. I know we all shout 'Wooo' during the chorus of the song, but just can't get our minds around the melody.

Seriously, I swear during the 2001-2002 season, they averaged at least 5-6 Van Halen songs and look where it got them. This past year, they played 1 or 2 at most. I sense a trend..... :spin:

I listen to all kinds of music...from Metallica to Pink..which covers quite a few beloved HOCKEY songs..and my niece burned a Saliva CD which contains Superstar and Raise Up on it..

They played the Marilyn Manson version of Tainted Love before... it was funny because Aaron Ward was singing it (this was during warmups). They've also played Disturbed's version of Shout.

Agree about "Walking On the Sun" being VERY OVERPLAYED, but Smashmouth actually has another song that is just as overplayed as the said song, if not more...remember "All Star"? That's the one I hear played more on ads than its sunny cousin...though it's a close race between the two.

millions of people don't do it on this site. and because millions of people do lots of illegal things, doesn't make them OK. It wouldn't matter it was legal, if the owner of the site says don't do it, then don't do it!

Kenny, I am sorry if you felt singled you out, but if one person here does it, soon 10 do it, and you were the only one I saw in the thread do it that way.

Lots of people read this site. Last month we did 8 gigs of transfer. 8 GIGS. If someone from the RIAA/MPAA saw this site and thought that I as the site administrator was allowing an avenue for this activity I could end up with a lawsuit.

I don't want that.

That's why I quite respectfully asked for this to not be done here. I could have come down a whole lot harder.

All that being said, it is my site, and when I ask people to obey a few simple rules, I expect them to obey them or be gone, voluntarily or not.
