I know this is a little late, but the question just crossed my mind recently.

Ohhhh...that is so hard. There are certain polls where I really wish we could make multiple votes, and this is one of them. As illustrated by my vote for Brindy, he's my top choice for the most missed player due to injury...though, he did do a pretty darn good job as a color announcer during the remainder of the season. :D As for my other choices, I would have to say Boulerice and Cole. Boulerice, because an enforcer/fighter to stick up for your team when someone on the opposition lays a potentially harmful smackdown on one of your teammates is always good to have. And, Cole because he was one of the top five scorers for the Canes.

Brindy no question. When a guy is arguably your best player, playing awesome hockey in all situations while providing veteran leadership, a scoring touch, and a great defensive game you miss him the most. While it might be argued that we missed Cole's fire, tenacity, and scoring touch, and we got bullied around when...er....the Bull wasn't around, we missed Brindy so much. He was the main man on the Penalty Kill, the center of our best producing (at the time) 5 on 5 line, and a steady powerplay, and when we lost him we had to resort to such folks as Joe Vasicek, Ziggy and KAdams, who while productive members of the team, could not fill the niche that a veteran leader like #17 fills.

My vote was an easy choice for Brindy.. for everything that Turby said. Cole would be second, but I think Rod definitely hurt the most. Man I can't wait to see these guys back!!!

Not doubt about it, Brindy. Guy is a legitimate all-star player who goes unrecognized here in Carolina. Not only does he lead by example on the rink, but he leads by being such a physical speciman off the ice. I mean the guy is in unbelievable shape. I am sure many of the players get inspired by him.
Cole comes in second. We all assume he is a veteran, but the guy was only in his second full year and look at what he did.
I look forward to the both of them back next year! And hopefully with Cole playing, no more repetitive seat-belt commercials! :D

No question: Rod Brind'Amour. Didn't even have to think about it.

While all the guys left a hole, I voted for Brindy as well...his face off abilities, his leadership...the total package...
I can't wait til next year when we have a "full house" again!! :spin:

I'm with you on this one RIO. Those hands were missed in many a faceoff.

No contest for me...brindy is a great veteran player and his not being there has left the biggest whole in the team...
