Hurricanes sign Craig Adams to one-year deal
The Associated Press
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Right winger Craig Adams has signed a one-year contract with the Carolina Hurricanes, the team announced Thursday.
Terms of the contract were not disclosed. Adams made $315,000 last season.
Adams, 26, was a ninth-round pick of the Hurricanes in the 1998 NHL draft.
In four seasons, Adams has seven goals, 13 assists and 129 penalty minutes in 158 games. Last season, Adams scored six goals and added 12 assists in 81 games.
Last week, the Hurricanes re-signed veteran left wing Jeff Daniels to a one-year contract worth a reported $300,000.

Good for Craig. He had a great season despite everyone else being in a slump. Good to see that he'll be back. :spin:

What everyone else has said...definitely warms my heart to now see one half of the Adams Family re-signed. Now, how about Senior Cole? :spin:

I'm with Stormbringer (really?) on this one. Good to have CA back. I'm curious though, who's left to be re-signed?

Craig is a good role player with this team. He fills a niche that is sorely needed and it will be essential to have him on the team next year. Good to hear we got this deal completed...though I would have loved to have him on a multi-year contract.
Hopefully the other FAs will follow suit...

I would've like to have signed him for a multi-year contract also, but I'm very glad we signed him. He has definately improved, and he's one of the most hardworking guys on the team. Now let's get Kevyn signed. ;)

I think with the upcoming CBA uncertainty there will be VERY few multi-year contracts.

I actually think he lives in downtown Raleigh in the same building as bates did. There is a website you can go to and type in a name and it shows where they live...Not sure if it was the same craig adams though...
Anyways, I was really happy to see that he'll be back next season!! go craig!! :spin:

You're right...Adams lives in an apartment on Glenwood Ave, the same building Battaglia lived in.
It's Joe and Jaro who live in a Cary Condo building...

I think it's really scary that this information is so easily available. It's bad enough for the general public, but for a famous person, it could potentially be really frightening. I understand it it public information. I just don't know why it needs to be public information.

The information out there is SCARY. Type your phone number into google.com formatted like (919) 999-9999 and they will pull up your name, address, and a map to your house.
My mom just called and asked for my dad's social security number. He passed away 10 years ago but I found it in seconds online.

That's what I thought...eventhough it is kinda neat to be able to see how big the player's houses are, their addresses and the costs of their houses is a little too personal to share with the public...

Hmm... makes me glad I have no home phone and I rent. :eek2:

Edited to say, hmm, but there are only 17 people in Wake County with my last name...

There's something neat...type in an address, select 1999 Color Orthophotography and zoom in....sattelite photos of anywhere in Wake County. I had fun with that...
CAdams' and Vasicek's condos weren't even built then...
And it is quite scary that people like me can find that info....If I were famous I'd be scared. But I guess it's the public domain...
And for the record, nobody else in the county has my last name. :eek2:

That's part I don't understand. Why is it public domain. No one has the right to access your address unless you give it to them or they are coming to arrest you ;)
most people only want to see how the other half lives, but it's the few that will use the information to follow them, etc. that I think is really scary, especially for the ones with children.

I agree--I'm actually glad that I don't own a house, because I don't want my info out there for some stalker to look up.
IMO it's a horrific invasion of privacy, especially because you can't get it removed without a court order showing that you're the target of a stalker. :/
