Many apologies if this has already been addressed...
Have any other stations other than 102.9 in Raleigh been announced for the radio network?
I'm most concerned with Charlotte, but I'd take any info.
Thanks in advance,

I hope there will be others, because I can't get 102.9 here in Whitsett (just east of Greensboro)

Does anyone know if there is an "aftermath" after games are played? 850 the buzz used to do it, but they haven't so far this year and I was wondering if it was somewhere else and I'm missing it. It was kind of fun listening to people call and complain after games in the past..*L* Plus it helps give you a bit of closure listening about the game while you are sitting in the parking lot waiting to get out.

I've been trying to find a way to listen to the games over the internet since I'm now in Portland, OR.
Maybe the opposing teams would have an internet broudcast of the games?

Regular season games will be streamed over the net just like past seasons.
I looked on the Canes website and did not see anything about more radio stations so they might still be working on that.

CL- I email C. Clark @ 850 often and had asked about it awhile ago , like before the season started- and he told me that they won't be doing an aftermath, just like they aren't doing the Buzz on Ice show with Chuck K. he seemed disappoiinted about it; it's too bad they're not doing it, cause we need that post game "show" like you said for 'closure' after a game. I wonder since 1090 seems to be really Canes focused, if they might start doing something (???) It was suggested that all the Canes fans who wanna an "aftermath" type show, to email the station GM.... I did. Haven't heard anything, but there is strength in numbers ;)

SoCal, good idea. However, 1090 goes off the air at sunset. They have to give way to WBAL, a clear-channel signal from Baltimore :(.
Maybe try 102.9, and see if they'll do an hour to two after the game.

yeah, and listening to 1090/1490 is very frustrating...their signal in morrisville/cary leaves a lot to be desired.

The games will all be on XM Satellite Radio, not on Sirius. They will also have a 24/7 NHL talk station.
Here's the info: (If you can't post links, MOD please delete.) http://www.xmradio.com/nhl/index.jsp
In case the Mods have to delete the link, then use your imagination on how to get to XM Radio.

Raleigh, N.C. – WRBZ Sports Radio 850 the Buzz, the Triangle area’s leading sports talk radio station, announced today that it has signed an exclusive agreement with Carolina Hurricanes’ play-by-play radio announcer Chuck Kaiton to provide team updates, insight and commentary for the 2005/2006 season. Chuck Kaiton will appear each weekday afternoon on WRBZ prior to every Carolina Hurricanes game and each weekday morning following a Carolina Hurricanes game. In addition, Chuck will be used as WRBZ’s exclusive hockey analyst throughout the season.
“Chuck will provide valuable insight into the team and the sport; furthermore, our listeners have always appreciated Chuck’s tremendous knowledge of the sport of hockey,†said WRBZ Program Director Adam Gold.
Chuck Kaiton stated: “I'm happy that I’ll be able to update fans on the Hurricanes this season with the premier sports radio station in the Triangle…my association with 850 the Buzz has been most enjoyable.â€

Great news Shell! thanks for posting.... hmmm maybe the mini emailing campaign I waged actually worked ;) somehow I doubt it, and 850 realized they needed to not be outdone by the competition even if they really weren't being outdone-- and it was more of 'we were here first' thing. LOL. Only thing that's disappointing is no Buzz on Ice with Chuck- but I guess if he's on before the games- and then they do this recap thing the morning after a game, that might work out better.....(but only if he stops complaining about all the 'calls' being made lol)
On another note, that was already touched on in here........ I ask all who will listen in the car when they leave a game, (or at home or wherever you may be) to help me in my quest to eradicate "Mike from Cary" from calling into any of those shows-stormfront, aftermath, etc.etc. email, call, write your congressman do whatever- but I refuse to sit in my car and listen to that dude on any radio I own during this hockey season or any hockey season- we've all been through alot in the last year, and I know nobody missed him and his less than insightful blabbering.

Thank god, because it was just not the same without Aftermath and Stormfront! :spin:
I'll give everyone a hint on Mike in Cary....
We sit on the East side of the arena right off the escalators but due to where friends park, we always park West side. After a game, we wait until our section has cleared out (mostly because I have a heights issue so I don't want anyone behind me rushing me down the scary upper level steps  ), we then hit the restrooms and we casually walk back around to the West said, down the escalator, out the door and to the car. By then, most of the traffic has cleared....AND we've totally missed Mike in Cary's call!! :D Lollygag a bit more on your way out of the arena and I bet you'll never have to hear him again.
Also about Mike, I don't like his always negative, nasty attitude but once in a while.....I think he has a point.
