Office Hockey Pools Thread

Thoughts?

I know Kovalchuk (not signed) and Phaneuf (rookie) are question marks, but how do you think my lineup looks. We had to draft 1 goalie, 4 defencemen, 2 right wingers, 2 left wingers, and 2 centres per team. We used a rotating draft (ie: 1-11 and then 11-1, then 1-11) to set our lineups and I had the 6th pick.

Does anyone else have an office pool team?

Echoing Eds thoughts about the office. You may need to replace Kovs butother than that that is a solid team.

1 Goal = 1 Point
1 Assist = 1 Point
Goalie Win = 2 Points
Goalie Shutout = 1 Point
Goalie Shootout Loss = 1 Point

GA: -1 point (weird, b/c you can have your goalie win 7-6 and get 0 points)

I like your team Tommy. I think Vanek was a dark horse in a LOT of pools this year. I hope he lives up to the hype.

I wish our league was structured so that we could have drafted players as "forwards" or "defence" and not by position. There were a few guys still available for my draft but I had already filled my quota for that position.

This team of mine is just out of 2nd place in a ten team league. I had no clue when the season started that Philippe Boucher and Paul Kariya would be leading my team to a solid position (Iginla and Datsyuk have been essentially non-factors so far this season). I was gonna pick up Staal but decided not to jinx him. I'd rather him be awesome in real life and kill my team in fantasy than have him on my fantasy team and jinx the crap out of him...
