Nice.

The first set of pads I wore were pillows taped to my legs.

On another interesting note, I've never EVER seen/heard a pad stack referred to as a "deck save."

My first "pad" was one pillow. I was small enough to put both legs in the pillow case. All I could do was pad stack. No butterflies when you only had one pillow pad. I used to throw a super ball (one of those 10 cent bouncy balls from a vending machine) against the wall and imitate pelle lindebergh or parent or peeters. Then when I'd hit myself on the head practice was over. It was a combo potato sack race goaltending hybrid I invented with that one pillow.
