Ok, I am working my butt off this week just to get some extra money so I can get my mom a little something for Mom's day. However, I need some suggestions.

I was thinking about a duel picture frame. One side with my baby picture in it and the other side with a recent picture of me. But I don't know...It sounds to...original. I usually do the little things like clean the house and fix her breakfast. But she has been there for me a lot and I want something special. One year I gave her a *Mother/Son* ring. So any ideas would be great! Rebecca and I might go out Saturday and look together...so any ideas to pass along to her would be cool too. Thank you all very much! :spin:

Dear old Mom was going to get a fine selection of Godivas and a nice card from her dear son...but I have yet to get over to the store at Crabtree.

I'm sure some folks on here can think of some good things for me and you, HockeyFan. http://websmileys.bei.t-online.de/schild23.gif

Hmm. I am female, but not a mother, and my parents don't tend to go for what they refer to as "Hallmark" holidays, but I will try to help out.

As we talked about for Aaryn's wife, a session at the spa or a massage is always a welcome gift. Those can get a bit pricey though.

I like the photo idea myself... my parents got a picture of my fiance and I for Christmas and were thrilled. Most parents like to have a "shrine" of family photos somewhere and are always glad for new additions.

If your mom drinks coffee, a nice basket with a mug or two and some gourmet coffee selections can be a nice gift.

Anyhow, that's my addition to this thread, for what it's worth (not much).

I agree also....your mom will cherish the pics of you...I can speak from experience with my own mom ..the simplest things are the best...my mom is deceased  , but she kept everything any of us ever made...from the cards at school made with colored rice to high school projects.. imo..go with the pic! :)

That's the exact gift I got her for Christmas! But she does love coffee... :p

I think I'll go with a picture and Godivas. She'll enjoy that...
Thanks for the help, y'all!

Thanks for the help y'all...I believe I will go with the picture idea. Anyone been into the store at Triangle Towne called, All Things Remembered (I believe that is the name). If anyone has been in there...how expensive are there stuff so I know about how much money I need to earn.

FREE 8x10 PORTRAIT!!

I am sure they will try to sell you more pictures, but just say no if you want to and walk away with your free picture.

I know there is a store at the Cary Mall and at Southpoint Mall. Not sure about the other ones. Enjoy!

It says one coupon for person (individually or as part of a group). I guess that means only one person can use the coupon in a group. Seems, everyone else will have to pay.

I didn't look at most of their stuff, but that is where I buy our Canes flags and stuff because it was way cheaper than the eye. (this was right after we were eastern conf. champs so prices went up at the eye for a while)

Some of their stuff can be pricey...lots of silver...not sure what you are looking for but it seems like some of the items are reasonable.. maybe $20?

Where can you get a good propeller beenie in Raleigh? :p

Think she'd like the beenie better than the chocolates? Think I'll try it...

Are you making fun of my mother? Of all the people, you Guyute? She can't help it that she has an overactive-follicle disease concentrated on her upper lip....
