Practice Jersey Colors

Alright, Kat and I were having a discussion about the colors of the practice jerseys, and their meanings. Coming from, of course, the fact that I have the yellow alt logo jersey, and she asked to borrow it so she doesn't get contacted on the ice.

Can someone verify/give more information on this:

dark blue - 1st line
light blue - 2nd (*or 3rd) line
gray - 3rd (*or 2nd) line
black - 4th line
red - Defense
yellow - injured
green?
white?

royal blue - 1st
white - 2nd
gray - 3rd
black - 4th
red - defense
yellow - injured, no contact

If my memory serves me correctly....

Dark Blue: 1st line
Silver: 2nd line
Light Blue: 3rd line
Black: 4th line and special teams
Red: Defense/Morning skate--forward
Yellow: Scratched (whether injured or healthy, doesn't matter)
White: Morning skate--defense

Green is a color I haven't been able to figure out.

Gray (or silver I suppose) 3rd Line
Black 4th Line
Red Defense
Yellow No Contact


On game day pre-game skates

All forwards wear Red
All Defense wears White

I've never seen any other colors than the above...

Will do...although the last game I checked at the Eye near our Section....they said they had no plans to sell them in that blue...so hopefully they will change their minds! :roll:

I don't know why they don't sell that color and the yellow ones are BAD, but I could think that because I look like death in yellow :sick:

At the eye near Sec 111 they had royal blue the entire season! What eye location are you talking about?

And the reason I have the yellow was because of the alternate logo -- not that it is a very happy yellow or anything, I was curious if anyone else really knew about that color, and if so, avoided contact with me! I'll have to remember that for next time .. :smoke:

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the "alternate logo"? I know people have talked about the hurricane flag thing if we every got a 3rd jersey, but I didn't realize that it was used on anything official.

Mona sits in 113, so I'd be shocked that she missed the royal blue practice jerseys so close to her section. Is it a different color blue?

The hurricane flag is the alternate logo...I've seen it used on the aforementioned yellow injured reserve jersey, which I've seen in a couple of Eye stores.

I just find it interesting how they would use the alternate symbol on one practice jersey and the main symbol on the others...

Speaking of the other practice jerseys, count me in as another one who wouldn't mind having a first line/dark blue jersey, though I'm a bit partial to the light blue practice jerseys too. ;)

The yellow jerseys I've seen in pracitce all have the main Hurricane Logo.

Speaking of the other practice jerseys, count me in as another one who wouldn't mind having a first line/dark blue jersey, though I'm a bit partial to the light blue practice jerseys too. ;)

I guess they've used the light blue jerseys previous seasons or maybe during camp when the player numbers are greater, but I've yet to see them used in any of the practices I've attended.

I always figured it was to cater to the UNC/Canes fan. ;)

Yes, the jersey in which Senior Bayda is clad is the royal blue...which as I said before, I really like along with the sky blue jersey displayed at the bottom of your post Shell. (sighs) Decisions, decisions...

Shell -- First off, I am well aware of the difference between royal blue and puke carolina blue.. :) But what I saw was I think a bit darker than that blue Bayda was wearing, but still basically the same color. Or quite possibly the lighting in the Eye was making it look darker than it actually was!

Taz...the one you saw was Navy...I have one of those...the royal blue are not to be found!! at least not right now!! :sad:
