Had a great time taking a tour of the Carolina Brewing Company today. They do a tour every Saturday at 1:00, with complimentary liquid refreshment at the end. It's not like it's served in Dixie cups either, we're talking a full pour in a pint glass from 5 different taps. Drink as much as you want until they kick you out, which wasn't until about an hour later. The place sure seemed to get louder and warmer as the hour wore on! Seemed their were some "regulars" there too! The glasses are really nice, and they're on sale along with the beer out front. I thought the Slap Shot Ale served at the RBC was made by CBC, but it looks like Greenshield's makes it. Anyone know if they serve CBC at the RBC? I took a liking to their Nut Brown Ale. Check 'em out at: http://www.carolinabrew.com/ They're located in Holly Springs off of 55, very easy to get to.

I've been kinda surprised that the RBC hasn't taken to selling CBC. Their Nut Brown is very tasty, and the Pale isn't bad either.
In a related story, my best bud used to live on the Eastern shore in Maryland. I visited often. It's there I found my (still, years later) favorite microbrew... Wild Goose. At the time (probably a good 7 years ago) they were in a tiny little building. They did free tours whenever you felt like stopping by. We'd hang out and shoot the bull with the brewmaster for a couple of hours A DAY. Drinking their brews all the while.
It lasted about 2 weeks... next time I visited, 2 months later, they had started a "2 beer" policy. Any 2 beers you want, but after those, you're out.
Moral of the story, take these tours as often as possible for tasty free beer. It won't last long before they cut back the amount they offer. ;) hehe
