View Full Version : Charity Event at the RecZone Tonight

A friend of mine told me today that there is a charity game tonight at the RecZone around 9. They are trying to raise money for one of the guys who plays in the rec leagues there. He has a brain tumor that is operable but he doesn't have health insurance. I don't know any of the details but if you're lookin' for something to do check it out.

I hope they raise alot of money....my best freind died of a brain tumor when we were 17 :cry:

Sorry to hear about that moonstomper, things like that are terribly unfortunate. Nice to see that all parties included are so generous, isn't it?

Yeah, thanks Tommy, it was a very hard time for me, and our other best freind who ran away from home for three weeks trying to be by himself to deal with it.


I really hope they can get enough money.......

Wow...if only I had known about that earlier, I would have seen if I could have attended. Oh well...hope they raise a nice amount of money. And, very sorry to hear about your friend Moonstomper... :cry:

My friend said they had a pretty good turnout....I think she said they raised around $15,000 maybe? Thanks to everyone that went!

Yeah, looking at it now I'm wondering if it could have been $1500....I was working when she told me and I'm not sure I was listening that well. That Canes sponsored benfit didn't even raise $15,000 did it? It must have been $1500....sorry about that. I'll check with her for sure tomorrow.

I think Wally told me the benefit the Canes sponsored was $12,000... hope it was $15,000!!
