I wonder how much free time the players might have to be checking out this site. Between all of the practice, travel, conditioning, training, and other obligations they have, I'm sure they don't have a lot of free time do hang out here, especially the players with families.

I have a feeling some may have checked it out from time to time, but a lot of the great stuff is what you find on a daily basis. Unless you check in regularly, it's difficult to keep up with everything.

Bates and Tripp are co-chairs. The event is really small and I'm not sure if it's much of a spectator thing. I wouldn't discourage anyone, but please keep in mind that this event is really for the kids. :D They get paired up 4 kids to a celebrity. Some kids are there because mom and dad payed for that opportunity. Others are sponsored kids from all over. It's really special for everyone involved. The big classic is probably a better place to go looking for celebs.
I don't mean to sound snotty or anything, just keep the spirit of the event in mind if you go out in June. I'm sure some of the boys will be there, but it's not really about fans, but more about kids. The tournament raises money for pediatric cancer grants through the V Foundation. The tournament is much smaller in scale and I think that's kind of the point. I mean, how absolutely cool would it be if you were a 9 year old and you got to play golf for the first time and hang out with a hockey player? Just be mindful of that and think about the big classic in August. www.golfclassic.org

Yeah they probably do feel kinda stupid. But these are not as bad as what the Rangers did. On LGW someone posted pics they posed for in Maxim, as they were modeling spring clothes. Now those were messed up!

Of course they feel like morons. Fashion photographers do that on purpose. The scant few times I've had a modeling camera in my face, I kept bursting out laughing and turning red because the guy kept saying "You love the camera! The camera loves you! Make love to the camera!! Pout for me!!" I thought I'd die from embarrassment. You feel like a circus bear on a bicycle trying to balance a cookie on your nose.

Hey guys...I had to tell you about a Bates sighting...hyena, CRAIGADAMSTHEMAN, rons#1 and myself met for lunch at Bogart's...and we had already said we hoped we saw him...well we were sitting outside and I see 4 guys coming and the one in the front was Bates!!! :crazy: Before I thought, I pointed and said..Oh my God..there is Bates...and he smiled...he was behind a gate...(thank goodness for him) :evil: or I would have talked to him and told him WELCOME HOME!! He looked very relaxed and VERY HANDSOME!! :kiss: ;)

I saw a friend of mine there too that works the V with me and he said that Bates will be at the Jr. V but not the big tournament in August!! :cry: I figured it would be too close to the Avs training camp!!

Sounds like they are both stupid. Marty claims that she would call him 2 hours before games to tell him who she was going out with that night. Why either of them (or their friends) would talk about it to the media is beyond me. And to file for divorce while he's in the middle of the playoffs. I know he deserves no sympathy, but 2 weeks would have made a big difference?

I think, and I can't believe I'm saying this, but I kind of like Roenick's look. There were some pictures earlier of him and I had to look twice. Now they would have been a whole lot nicer without the other "guys" in there. However, no one can take Ronnie's place in my book!
