According to Mike Sundheim's blog, the Canes will be featured on HNIC tonight. I will tune in and report later.

MEDIA ALERTS: Not surprisingly, the 'Canes are drawing major attention these days. Even before the trade, Sports Illustrated's Michael Farber had contacted me about doing something with the team and our practice in Montreal on Wednesday. Kyle will take care of Michael's requests at Denis Savard Arena in Quebec that day. If you have the Center Ice package, you may want to tune in to Hockey Night in Canada this Saturday night. HNIC is planning to do a feature on the Hurricanes for its big show this weekend.

I watched... it was pretty nice actually. They interviewed Lavi and Brindy and Weight. Weight said basically the same thing he has been saying... that he just wants to fit in and can play anywhere, wing, center, etc. Brindy said that he felt horrible when we were in the bottom of the standings a few years back and considered quitting hockey, but that winning makes the game fun again... basically that it is all about winning, for him.

It was good!

Funny to hear Brindy say (concerning the crappy preseason predictions) "the only person that was pissed, can I say that, was coach" :lol: Went on to say that while he doesn't care much about that sort of thing, it meant a lot that Coach believed in them they way he did/does.
