E- teeeehee! OMG.... too funny....a lot less of the last pic eh?
And has anyone checked to see if the Khazak's fans (not sure if that's accurate, but I heard several of the announcers refer to them that way, so I'll roll with it lol) are also drum banging, singing types? :eek2: I 'll tell you what, I watched that whole game on TiVo and I'll preface my comments with - I really do enjoy the passion of the Latvians, I think I really loved it most last year during the World Championships- those people did not sit down once in ANY of the games I saw on Mediazone.com, if they gave medals for heart and passion, it'd go to the Latvian people. And that story Ferraro told during one of the intermissionsabout talking to Irbe and how Irbe was nearly in tears talking about his good friend Sergei Zholtok and how Sergei was Latvia, and that the game vs the USA was 'destiny'- you have to be enthralled by all that no doubt......And did anyone catch that Latvia is hosting the World Championships this year in Riga and that they'll be training LIVE bears to skate on the ice??? Now that's either passion or crazy.
That said, after watching the game- my head did have a little throbbing action going on- I'm not sure if it was the 3-3 tie that did that, but I suspect that all that drumming, singing and dancing, just got the best of me

Would love to see one of "our" boys get on the scoreboard today. Actually, I'm happy with whoever scores on the US team, but it sure would make it easier on my psyche if it could be Cole or Hedican instead of Gionta or Chelios, ya know?.

For those who can't watch the game on tv or something...
There's a livestream of a Dutch tv channel on the net:
http://cgi.nos.nl/cgi/nosrtv/channelinfo/
just click on "Kanaal 1" when the game is about to start...
quality is pretty okay, I just watched slovakia-latvia on that channel cause german television doesn't broadcast all hockey games... unfortunately we lost 3-6.. many mistakes in the defense and irbe didn't have his best day :P

Craig Conroy was just on with Clement/Ferraro for a chat. He was smiling from ear to ear talking about his dream to score a goal in the Olympics and how happy he was to get it soon.
He also said his kids were watching (at home it seemed) and that his 2 oldest girls told him to 'make a sign' for them if he scored, but he forgot. He said he wasn't even sure what he was supposed to do - point or something, but he forgot. I hope he gets another and give the signal to his kids!

Not accessible to me, likely because nos.nl is using a method of determining that my IP address is outside the range where they are legally allowed to stream.
Yes, the page redirected to a site wthat I was able to translate from the Dutch using babelfish.altavista.com
"Because of the strict rules of the International Olympic Committee concerning Internet distribution of picture material of the Olympic game some streams and sites are not temporarily available by means of usual left. Not a bad goal... Drury came from behind the goal and and passed the puck to guerin who scored with a one timer... i dunno if the kazahstan goalie was screened, but the shot wasn't that hard he didn't look really good

I'm out-of-town on business in Dallas, and I just discoverd that the bar in the atrium of my hotel is showing the game on Universal HD. I got to see the Rolston goal! sweet!
But I am supposed to be working, so I'm back in the "office," checking the play-by-play again.... ho, hum....
