Since we're getting close to the medal rounds, I figured this would be good... since most curling is during the day.

did anyone watch the men's US/GBR match? wow, that was some Good curling. both are 6-2 now. that's pretty likely to be the gold medal match too, unless something weird happens.

My brother and I watched a couple of matches over the weekend and we're really getting into it! (We even busted out the n64 and played some curling on our nagano 98 olympics game  ) I must say, a gold in curling would be nice. Our team could do it...from I've seen, they're actually really good.
Funny little tidbit--- I heard on the news that so many people are into it this year that the curling website crashed the other night. Who would've thought?

Careful Crazy - I just read an article that said Sasha skipped her long program practice today and that she was a little stiff. Her agent acknowledged it was "unusual", but her coach just shrugged it off and said she wanted to rest.

Guess we'll find out tomorrow night!

I had the whole bar in the St Louis airport watching curling and one guy who had never watched before saying "well done" by last rock of the the sixth end  . They kept asking me and one other guy questions, not that I could answer alot of them...there was one writein question that had 3 or 4 'buzz' phrases and it didn't even sound like English! - we kept likening the 'ends' to innings in baseball. It was a riot - but they all got sucked in and were cheering by the time I left to catch my flight. Funny how addictive it is.

Explain to me why Curling was on in prime time and hockey was on during the workday - I don't get that scheduling, though???

lol IS, that's funny :)

the scheduling has been weird. 4 years ago, curling was on the 12am-4am kind of slot IIRC. I remember watching a lot of it very late night.

this year it's on when I get home from work. yet I missed 80% of the hockey. odd indeed.
