very happy to see Apollo get a GOLD with NO CONTROVERSY!!

with all the baffoons we have on USA teams, he has always been one of the classiest.

I heard when he went to Korea for the Worlds he had to have a bazillion body guards. Glad that crap is over. It wasn't his fault what the judges called in Salt Lake.

Amen! Apolo quickly became my favorite non-hockey-related US Olympian. He has such a great attitude and handled all his interviews well. I hope we'll see him again in 2010.

Side note: After he won the gold, and Bob Costas was doing the wrap-up, he said something to the effect of "Apolo is the soul-patched face of the short track". I was thinking, how in the world did he get that out with such a straight face?!
