I watched it for the first time the other night, just to try to win money from the Cash Cow. I had never seen it before. Well, I will never watch it again. The show was stupid to me. I had heard how funny it was, but I never laughed once. The freaking Bass Line between every scene was very annoying. Just venting. Thanks!

The only episode that I found amusing was "Master of His Domain"--and that was because for once they weren't being mean to other people.

Oh, and I watched the last episode so I could see them get their comeuppance. That was good, too. ;)

I have never seen an episode that wasn't freaking hilarious. But then I think/thought American Idol is/was the stupidest thing I've ever seen.

Different strokes.

Oh, I agree about American Idol--but I just can't dig on Seinfeld.

You can't beat a good episode of Seinfeld...or in some people's case, you can.

It's a bit of a different humor than you find on different shows...I guess some people don't adhere to a show about nothing... :p
I sure do like mindless comedies like Seinfeld better than all of this crap reality programming...sheesh. Mr. Personality? The Batchelor? Reality?

Whatever floats your boat... :spin:

I really liked Seinfield the first couple of years, but then it got really old.
I've never seen any of the "reality" shows. I just think they would be too horrible for words

Too horrible for words to you. But since you haven't watched them - I guess we don't know. ;)

It's all just entertainment. Pick and chose what you like. :)

I sorta have a love-hate relationship with Seinfeld. I usually thought the show was hilarious and almost always brillant but I absolutely despise the characters. I spend the majority of the show rolling my eyes at them.

Sorry. I know folks who seems to think that watching Survivor shows the decline of society or whatever. So reading criticism about shows people haven't even watched or in MGs case have watched once, seems a little hasty and reminded of me of the those naysayers. I apologize for responding in that manner to your post. :)

no problem :) They are just not my kind of show, but neither are other shows that lots of people just love. I'm thinking it's me ;)

As much as I love Seinfeld and consider it to be easily the best sitcom of the 90's, I'm very well aware that it is a show that one either loves or hates. Nothing shows this better than the Internet Movie Database's Seinfeld entry and the member-submitted reviews there...

http://us.imdb.com/Title?0098904

As you can see, about half are like me and say that Seinfeld is the best while others say vice-versa. Regarding the characters, Elaine is one of my most if not my most favorite female television character ever. The title character is a character I really like too, but not as much as Kramer...the Kramer and/or Elaine driven episodes are easily my most favorite episodes of the entire show. But like my dad, I absolutely can't stand George...though, I did like the episode about him sleeping under his desk at work at Yankee Stadium (The part when Steinbrenner comes in George's office and waits for George WHILE George is under his desk is priceless...especially when Steinbrenner's grandkids come in. :D). In no particular order, some of my most favorite episodes are...

The one about the Devils fan. (Every time the Canes play against the Devils I can't help but think of this episode...WE ARE THE DEVILS!! Imagine that being said to a preacher... ;) )

The one about Kramer and his lawsuit against Starbucks. ("I CAN HAVE ALL THE CAFE LATTES I WANT!!"...the man has a ton of them and you can imagine the effects.)

The one about Elaine and the woman who wore a bra as a top. (Then again, I admit that most episodes featuring the lawyer and/or Peterman are among my most favorites...the lawyer and Peterman are my most favorite supporting characters.)

Anyway, I have episodes I hate and/or have gotten sick of too. As Caniac somewhat said, different strokes for different folks...and TC, you're not alone on not and never liking "Reality TV". ;)

I guess I often look at reality TV as like a train wreck... sometimes you can't help but look. But I can also see why people like them, because they feature someone that people can relate to. And like nccanes has said, the American Idols and Star Searches are probably good family programs. Bachelor, Joe Millionaire, Married by America... maybe not so much. I personally feel the idea of a contest to determine your "soulmate" is a bit much, but maybe that is just me.

Also, there is a great site called http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com that does snarky reviews of most of them (and a lot of other popular TV shows). Sometimes I watch the reality TV show just because the review is so funny that I want to know what they are talking about.

Seinfeld has never really made me laugh either...Kramer on occasion has made me chuckle...the hair alone can do that!!

I find commercials much more entertaining than 99% of shows on today!!
