I haven't bought any scratch tickets yet--since I can't buy them at my store, I have to buy them at another store (and I haven't bothered yet).

Be nice if I win enough to get me playoff tickets...though given my work schedule (which just got JACKED thanks to a now-ex co-worker), I've a sinking feeling I'll miss the playoffs. :(

Even though we have a lottery here in OR I have never bought a lottery ticket but may just for kicks when I come to Raleigh next month.

I bought 5 $1 tickets, and one of 'em was a $3 winner. :) It's fun!

I'm not a big gambler by any stretch of the imagination, but plan to spend $5/week

That's what I did when I lived in Fargo--I'd hop the bus across the river to Moorhead, MN every Saturday and drop about $3-5 on scratch tickets at the Moorhead K-Mart, as a hobby (and an excuse to get out of the room).

Well, my financial plan has always been to win the lottery. :-)

Umm, yeah, don't burst my bubble.

(well, I did win $500 on hold'em last night does that count?)

Haven't been to a gas station to get tickets yet...
Everyone I know has ended up winning $2 or $3, and putting that right back into another scratch-off card. It's easy to see how they gain revenue...at those paltry winnings levels, people just give it right back!

I could do quite a bit with $100,000 though...

Personally, I'm not going to touch the scratch cards... when the Powerball jackpots show up later, I'll drop just a buck or two on 'em once in a while when the pot gets high, like I do when I'm visiting back home in MI, but that's it.

It's only about the entertainment value to me of being able to think "hey, what if", but that value is only there when the pot is freakin' huge. The math is too much against you in all other cases.

I've apparently won $2 simply by not doing this......

I bought 5 $1 tickets, and one of 'em was a $3 winner.

Something about my personality....I don't ever seen me becoming a compulsive gambler.

Since I've moved to Florida, I'd have to say I play it every now and then. No Powerball or MegaMillions here unfortunately.

So far, I'd say I've paid out around $100 but I've won almost $300. Not too bad.

I usually buy an amount for a Canes number (one week when EC was doing so good right before "the Break" I bought 26 Florida Lotto tickets. I won $95!!)

I have spent about $40.00 and won around $50.00. I am ready for Pick 3. That is a fun game and it has a 1 in 400 chance of winning $500. Great Odds! :)
