Part of an email I just got from Kyle.
Gonna be crazy tough for those of you who were unable to pre-order. Best of luck!

Big News! Due to the number of advance tickets that have been purchased as playoff strips by our season ticket holders, suite holders and corporate sponsors for the 2006 Stanley Cup Playoffs, we currently have less than 3,000 tickets available on a per-game basis as we head towards the individual game on-sale date (Saturday, April 8th at 10 a.m.)!

good stuff...canes organization has to be loving this...this will definitely drive some folks that get locked out of the playoffs this year into one of the plans next year to hopefully keep that from happening again...

Time to start thinking about taking the 21st off of work so the tailgate can start properly...at noon :D

 Someone who loves me please help me *when* we go to round 2!!

Honestly, I am happy to hear there is such an interest. It will keep the noise loud and the guys pumped up. We can reclaim our place as the loudest house in the NHL!!

I will end up trying my luck at getting tickets for round two off ebay or buying extras. Will suck that I won't get to jump up and down with Kat again (and no, I don't think we were drunk yet) but I'm just going to be so happy to be there. And yes- I will be there!! :D

Wow. Just wow. This is going to be even better than 2002.

It SUCKS for me, though. I have to register for classes next semester the same morning, and my dad can't get to the box office then.

OK, guys, here's an idea - how about you people who aren't purchasing strips for whatever reason (out of town, po' college student, etc.) all get together and get a couple of strips together in the cheap seats to share? That $100 deposit isn't much to lose if there are several of you together, and it will end up being less than paying a scal...I mean ticket broker. Strips are $180 for upper goal zone and $204 for upper corners.

I hope that the strips weren't bought up by ticket brokers that then sell them out-of-town where they can make a hefty profit...

And I do think the 21st might be a half-day. Anyone have a small grill? I will bring brats... :D

I am thrilled. No beyond thrilled.
I knew it was gonna happen and I am silently laughing at a few people, especially this dude who works with Mr. Socal, who came to hub's office and 'bragged' that he got a 'courtesy call' from his ticket rep (he's a 24 gm guy) after he didn't send in his form indicating he's going to either buy p-off tix and the 3/31 deadline had passed. Basically the Canes wanting to make sure they didn't 'miss anyone' was what he relayed was the phone call. So he tells hub, "I don't want to buy a strip because if they clinch a spot after the first round and there's left over $$$ on those tickets, they won't give me my money back, they'll apply it to the next round" hub tried in vain to explain how it all worked, got exhausted with the merry go round and said 'good luck to you- I doubt if there will be much left if you go to the ticket office on Sat and if there is- it'll be the high $$ stuff' (the guy is a known cheapo) anyway, he says "No way I'm not going to the arena, I'll get em on ticket master." LMAO - first he's cheap he claims and then he wants to pay TM fees cause he's too lazy to stand in line. He'll probably be locked out and begging Mr Socal to 'hook him up' like he tried to back in 02.

This is really GREAT. No beyond great. :) I don't know if anyone saw today's paper, HUGE color ad for the playoff tickets on sale on Sat.
