Thanks a lot for the link. Do you know who got these clips online? I'm wondering what they used to do it.... It would be great if we could get a little online database going where we could download video clips of great Canes goals, plays, etc. that we took off tapes of the games and put them on the web!

Hyena your clips are great (as well as your photos). If you are really bored, it might be fun to see the Surma goal and his Mom/Aunt reaction again..... :D That was priceless!

thanks yall. actually nccanes, i was thinking the same thing! i'll try to put it up tonight (it will be on the same webpage).

actually...for capturing, i need to get a new tv card for my computer -- it's about a year old and it's starting to crap out. it will only capture audio in mono for some reason so i have to split it and redub the sound for the clips. for a 2 minute clip it's not that much work (takes about 5 minutes) but i can't imagine doing it for something longer than that..... :mad:

as for a database, i'd be able to contribute, but that's it...i have zero time, esp. if i'm ever gonna get this photo website going. go ahead and come up with something, i'm sure it will be great! folgers, do you have any ideas??

Fights are definitely one of the things that should be put up there. Along with goals, good interviews, nice plays, etc. I could help with getting clips online as well as I am planning to record many of the games next year to do that. Also, a think an archive of last season would be great. I'm sure we could come up with countless moments from last year's playoff run we'd like to have online for download. If anyone's got any of the tapes from games from last year's playoff run and has the ability to copy them, let me know! I'll trade something/pay/whatever to get my hands on some of those. Then me or Hyena (or anyone) could upload these to a site. (Not the entire games, just clips.) I could try and put together some sort of montage from each game, perhaps every shot on goal (or scoring chance) from both teams? I think it could make for some very exciting watching. I wouldn't cut too fast though, possibly star with the start of each play that led to a scoring chance.

Excellent Hyena! I just watched that entire clip no less than ten times showing it off to several people in my dorm. Amazing first goal! Of course, you've gotta love the expressions on his mom and aunt's face but I also love how friendly the people around her are being. Towards the end of the clip a guy in front of her is shaking her hand, it looks like the guy to her right is letting people know she's his mother, great stuff. A couple of sourpusses in the row behind them but they must be Ottawa fans. To be a Canes fan and not give a goal like that a standing ovation, especially the first goal in a guy's career would just be odd.

Any chance you can get Vrbata's blast up on the site as well? Don't go out of your way to do it or anything, just if you've got a bit of extra time and have nothing else to do. Thanks!
