Hi there, guys. I'm a River Rats fan who's been occasionally lurking here since the rumors of the Canes hooking up with the Rats started. Up here in Albany we're hoping you guys will at least give us a chance at making the playoffs, as opposed to the last few years of our relationship with the Devils, where you pretty much knew there wasn't a chance but you couldn't help but hope anyway.

I figured I should join at some point, so here I am!

... And I have a confession to make. I do have somewhat of an ulterior motive. I'm also a Devils fan (*runs, hides* :D), and I wanted to prove that not all Devils fans are like the trolls that have attacked your board in recent days. Believe it or not, there are boards that are home to Devils fans who *aren't* complete tools. On behalf of *true* Devils fans everywhere, I apologize for the onslaught of idiots.

Welcome, and hopefully you can make the "transition" from an Albany-Devils fan (seeing your boys up at the NHL level I know makes it hard to pull for anyone else!) to an Albany-Canes fan. Our minor league teams are generally pretty good, although we've traded some depth away lately -- no Ziggy for you! Aucoin is fun to watch, but he might get a sniff in Raleigh next year...
