I am looking for a drivers seat for my car. (1998 Mitsubishi Mirage). My seat has been held up for about 18 months with a cooler now, and now it is in really bad shape. My back hurts whenever I drive. Anyway, I am not paying Mitsubishi $1000.00 for a new seat. I have been looking on the internet for one, but have had no luck. I have only seen racing seats. Does anyone know how they fit, universal fit or brackets or what, and also if they are comfortable. Any help would be sweet.

BTW, if you know where I could get another Mitsubuishi seat, that would work too. I have called every junkyard, in NC, and VA and can not find one.

Thanks!

I can't beleive there arn't any at the junkyards, Jackson's out on Poole Road seems to always have good inventory..In the meantime, is it possible to switch the two front seats? At least the seat you use the most would be more comfortable...Good luck!

Can't you just tie up a Lazy-boy in there? :spin:

That would be fresh!

As small as my car is, I could probably just take the seat out and sit on the floor and drive. :)

Also, to respond to teh earlier post, I thought about switching the seats, but the seat belt and controls are on the wrong side.

Maybe some of the other Mitubishi sedans use the same seats...have you been looking exclusively for seats from a Mirage? If so, try finding out if the seats from an Eclipse or Galant, etc will fit in a Mirage. I've looked at various places and you're right...unless you want a racing seat you can't find a car seat on the internet.

Good luck...
