Like commercials (http://www.letsgocanes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=376), another old topic I decided to revive thanks to something I just discovered...

http://www.fadetoblack.com/hallofshame/

Roll over Ringo, here's a *real* All-Star Band. :D ;) A couple of my "favorites" here are...

Andy Griffith doing "House of the Rising Sun" ((imitating Aunt Bee) Annnnndy! That particular song is not a "happy" one. Not to mention the lovely horn touches here and there.)

George Burns doing "With A Little Help From My Friends"

and

Joe Pesci doing "Got To Get You Into My Life" (I honestly can't decide which Beatles cover is worst...though I may have to give it to Mr. Burns because Mr. Pesci sounds ok as long as you don't listen too far into his track.)

Also included there are the complete Pat Boone's "In A Metal Mood" and William Shatner's "The Transformed Man" (In the "Celebrity Outtakes" section). :D

I don't mean to be rude or anything, but didn't you just smack someone down a few threads back for saying that some type of music was bad? Everyone has different tastes, and it just seems like this is a 180 turn from yelling at people for not liking your music...

I wasn't trying to smack anyone down in that thread, I was trying to make a point, but because of a response from the person in question, I stopped.

I apologize if I offended anyone with the comments in that thread and what I posted here...this wasn't necessarily meant to be a "Music sucks." thread. Just a thread to post about universally funny and/or bad sounding music like what the site I linked to displays.

I'd be awfully surprised if everyone didn't agree that the songs mentioned in SB's initial post qualify as "Music from Hell"

Maybe we are taking things a bit too seriously around here? I think this was meant to be a just-for-fun thread. JMO.

Sorry, I guess I confused "Music from Hell" as meaning "Music that Sucks."

Anyhow, not sure I want to go look at bad songs so that I can have them stuck in my head all day... but to each his own.

I think any song sung by William Shatner would qualify :eek2:

Didn't Leonard Nimoy have an album too?

Thank you SHC...this was meant to be fun, and not meant to be getting back at anyone. Until Kat brought it up, I was trying to put that particular tiff behind and move on. I even admit that I probably shouldn't have egged on about genres "sucking" and such, but at the time, I was ticked off and didn't know better. We all have moments like that...and with that said, I apologize again.

Yes he did, and a song from that is featured on that site...a "lovely" rendition of "Proud Mary". :D

I remember a Weird Al song...

"And the local radio station had a contest to see who could correctly guess the number of molecules on Leonard Nimoy's butt... well, I was off by three, but I still won the grand prize, that's right! A first class one way ticket.. to AAAAALBEQUERQUE!"

lol!

Talk about weird/silly music!

LOL! That's too good. Weird Al's the king of parody and funny music. It's funny though...as much as I love Weird Al's parody covers, my most favorite tunes of his are the polka medleys. Those, especially certain parts/songs, crack me up every time with how dorky they sound. :D

Objection! Statement assumes ability not in evidence! :)

(though it is amusing to listen to his stuff from "The Transformed Man", in a very crack-smoking sort of way)

I'll admit that I used to like Shatner's Priceline.com ads...I thought they were hilarious, especially the ones where he did interesting versions of "Movin' On Up" and "Jive Talkin'". Also, my brother can do an EXCELLENT impression of Shatner saying "Mr. Tambourine Man? Mr. Tambourine Man? MR. TAMBOURINE MAN?!". :D
