Does anyone typically know what time 3 round games are? For instance if we start Saturday..

We won't know for sure until the publish, but I know NBC said on Saturday that their next broadcast would be the ECF, Saturday at 2pm.
I guess anything can change, but I would say that's a good bet for Game 1.

saw this blurb in Luke's article this morning. first time I've seen anything other than Sat mentioned.
They'll take on the Sabres in a series expected to begin as early as Thursday and no later than Saturday at Raleigh's RBC Center.

Do we know if our series will be set before the conclusion of the Oilers/Sharks series?
Has there been an comments that indicate *when* they'll announce the schedule?
Guyute

I'd think they'd Have to announce before worrying about the ANA/EDM series to wrap... I mean, if ANA wins the next one, we've got a couple more days to wait.
then again, due to the NBC/OLN dance that ensues with coverage rights... we may not know until everyone is done. (Really annoying.)
I mean, their game 6 isn't even until Wednesday!

I know I am a little slow this morning... but you're throwing me for a loop :) don't you mean SJ, not ANA?

JF said on 1490 this morning that it could start anywhere from Thursday to Saturday. You don't want the Eastern conference to start too far ahead of Western Conf. If east would go 4 games, and west takes 7 games, it could be 2 weeks wait for whoever wins the east. Not sure who has more of and advantage, but I wouldn’t want to have two weeks to wait before playing in the biggest series of the year.
I think they'll announce after tomorrow nights game, or tell everyone what the scenarios are depending on the outcome of tomorrow’s game.

Since SJ/Edm don't play again until Wednesday, I don't see how they can start the east as early as Thursday. If the west goes 7, they won't finish until Friday. If the Oilers take it Wednesday, I can see the east starting on Friday and the west on Saturday, but with NBC/OLN sorting out coverage who knows. The west is certainly dragging things out

more like the East is pushing things ahead! a sweep and a 4-1 series victory... the east wants this thing over with, lol.

Actually, they were both 4-1 series wins in the east.
The Sweep was the Ducks over the Avs.

Well I for one am hoping for a Friday and Sunday game as I'm hopefully on my way to NC (lucky stars need to align and all that) Thursday after work. Would be nice to catch one game at the RBC and one game with some friends who won't be able to attend but plan on having a nice partay ;)

the gamenight wallpaper from last night's game has the start of the next series on May 20th (Saturday). I could've sworn that they announced Saturday last night at the game, with the game time TBA. I honestly don't care too much either way, all I know is that I'm going to be in withdrawal this week.

I have to move Friday and the packing has not been going well. Lack of hockey games to attend/watch with complete attention will help quite a lot.
I respectfully disagree. Sat 2PM is not tailgate friendly to those of us who prefer to sleep in. Monday 7:30 is only so-so. Sun the 28th is only good because Monday is a holiday.

Yuck, 7:30 starts are way worse for those of us with babies/children with an early bedtime. Cole normally goes to bed around 8:30. Poor babe is gonna be tired by the time we are done with this! That and my boss will get tired of me continuing the whole "I'm going to be late so my baby can sleep in" thing. Other than that, bring it on!!!!!

I don't like day games- hockey should be played at night- preferrably at 7pm not 7:30- not only for the kids- but 7:30 turns to 8pm turns to late. I just like 7pm starts. Even though I'm a very early riser even on Saturdays well Sundays too- it seems like it's tough to get people's schedules to work out well. Smack dab at 2pm on a Saturday just stinks, but, I'll be in the west lot tailgating promptly at 10am. ;)
Now for the road sched- I'm thoroughly bummed that what looked like a glimmer of hope to go up to BUF if all the stars aligned, isn't gonna happen. Darn. But, I can hold out hope, that should we make it through the Conference final as the victor- and the Ducks do too, well then I guess I'll just need to go home to Socal now won't I?
I'm kinda happy for the days off- just to decompress from these last 2 rounds.

I heard somewhere (I'm thinking maybe 620 this morning?) that NBC's got the Preakness (or whatever the 3rd horse race is, lol) on at 5pm, so we'll be in that 'must be done by 5pm or get booted to OLN again' thing - but it explains the 2pm start (I'd prefer 3pm too).
And you do know that they'll be an airport run on a weekend night again - woo hoo.

E- yeah, I heard that too it was 620- and it's cause of the Preakness, just like last time was the Derby. I'd be fine with 3 cause I kinda think that it would be better for most people.

I kind of like 7:30PM starts. When we start later, it seems like there's more butts in the seats at puck drop--especially during a weeknight game. More people are completely done with work and can arrive on time for a 7:30 start.
'Course-- for me... I really don't care what day or what time. I can't find a thing to complain about, 'cause as long as I see a schedule with "Hurricanes vs..... " or "Hurricanes @..." then I'm happier than a dog rolling in it's own poop!

I just got home from the gym and there they were- sitting on the porch in plain sight (not going there again lol)...........
But............I have a question? weren'tthe ECF's tickets in 2002 the "large" glossy tickets?? I could've sworn that was true, cause some dude who came down from Toronto saw ours and offered to by the 'used' tickets off us for $100 bucks cause they were 'so commerative' (we declined) ;)
FYI, they only sent the 'round 3' tickets out so if/when/God Willing we do make it to the Finals, maybe we'll get the prettier ones.

Ok, because it bugged me so much I went digging in my scrapbooks and memory box that I made for the 2001-2002 season- Ok, the "theme" was "Cup Crazy" we had the ticketmaster style tickets with "Cup Crazy" printed on the stub along with ticket background being Ronnie and Rod celebrating a goal- the 'glossy' ticket that I got confused about was that 'ticket holder' give away that they had during one of the home games vs Toronto- that the dude wanted to buy it was that plastic holder that went around the neck with this faux ticket inside it, with the Cup Crazy thing on it again. So my memory was all fogged up.
Wow, I went down memory lane there- Mr Socal has saved every ticket for every game for all 6 seasons we've been STHers, plus all the games we ever went to prior to that- plus all the different tickets we've had at other arenas, complete with the score of the game printed neatly on the back with any 'significant' accomplishment (i.e. O'Neill's 40th goal) and if it was a road trip what hotel we stayed at (yes, he's a little much  )- and so on. Holy Moly, it's fun to look at and remember all the games, and what happened. Crazy part is I did start remembering games and saying to myself (since nobody is here with me) "oh, that was the game..."
Ok, putting away the toys.......... ;)

Ok, putting away the toys.......... ;)

Problem solved...we had a small "family only" gathering for Christopher today (since today is his birthday)...so the game it is for me Saturday, instead of making nice w/my ex, his bitc...I mean, wife, her family & my ex-inlaws. :spin:[/quote]

Not sure if this is the best place for this...
But check out the CH.com website, and go to the RBC Center Cam... They have started painting the SC Playoffs logo on the ice!!

I had trouble getting regular season tickets delivered at home so I just have them sent to the office and have experienced no problems... except for the hockey fans with sticky fingers. :)

Mine were delivered along with my new Olympic weight tree and my new replacement weight bench.. like always out in plain view...
Just the same tixs as Rd1 and Rd2.... I'm not all that excited about the tix... I really liked the season ticket holder tix from this year.... felt "special" somehow... these just seem plain.... oh well, I don't really care as long as it gets me in the building :)
