I don't know if any of you ever go to the News & Observer forum discussion page...but look at some of the topics on our Canes...I can't believe that the webmaster leaves some of the topics!!! :eek: :crazy: :roll:

Wow! Never thought I'd see a place that might be as bad as CH.com at it's worst!! But one thing that place does better than CH.... most of the regulars seem to stick together and defend each other against the trolls (mostly by turning it into a joke). There are only a few folks at CH who bother with that...and oddly enough most of those folks post here too. I guess you either want to foster a community or you don't!

I'm not upset...I just prefer to live in my little bubble where Bates is a good guy, not a man-whore. ;)

Speaking as someone who played junior hockey, there is one thing that is always going to be a constant - PUCK BUNNIES. Now, I don't want to sound like a "man-whore", but no matter what town I played in or what team I was playing for, there were always girls who would do just about "anything" to hang out with the boys.

I have been privy to some shinanigans that, at the time, were fun, but I can tell you, that now at 29, I will probably dissuade my daughter (if I ever have one) from dating a hockey player. There was never a coincidence where something escalated to an assault or anything like that, but there were some situations where I removed myself because I just didn't feel too comfortable.

I haven't read the postings, and I don't intend to. I can imagine what it says, and am with all of you, "let me remain ignorant of their goings-on".

I don't know for sure but I have all ideas that the people posting the stuff in this forum, don't know the players but only wish they did. I would hope that the women that they choose to keep "company with" would be more trustworthy than to tell things in a local newspaper forum!! :roll:

Most of the guys in one thread even thought it might be the Canes playing tricks on some of the other guys...could be!!?? :eek2:
