Be sure to watch the video. If there was not the Canes and NC State here, I would move to Sandusky, Ohio! :spin:

That video definitely gave me the coaster jones! I haven't been on one since I moved to NC 5 1/2 years ago (wow, have I lived here that long already??) . Before here I was only 3 miles from Busch Gardens in Tampa.. I loved that!! Who is organizing the group outing? ;)

No, Thank you.
They had an expose on that coaster on one of the morning shows this week...said it went from 0-120 mph in a matter of 1 or 2 seconds.
As I said, no thank you. I don't have the stomach.

Come on Turby...I know I have a few YEARS on you and I would do it!! I will ride with you and hold your hand ok??? ;)

I would be scared shi*less the first time, but I know I would love it!! ROADTRIP!!! :spin:

When I went to Busch Gardens in May, it wasn't crowded so I could ride Apollo's Chariot over and over again...with hands up!!!! I stayed on it until I got dizzy and then I would take a break!! It is only 210 ft. high so the Dragster is like two of those stacked up!!! HOLY MOLY!!

I went to Cedar Point last month and was able to ride the Dragster. I stood in line for 2 hours, but it was totally worth it. But recently it hasn't been open due to a broken cable or something. But if you have the opportunity to visit Cedar Point, I would recommend riding it.

Take you a quick 2 hour trip to Carowinds or 3 hour trip to King's Dominion. :)

I went to Carowinds on Thursday. I left work at noon, and expected to be there at around 2:00-2:15. I made it to Concord in about 1 hour and 40 Minutes. Then I hit traffic, and made it to Carowinds at about 4:00. The park closed at 7:00. I talked my way out of paying for parking, and had a great 3 hours. There was nobody there, so I had plenty of time to ride everything, that I wanted.

My only reservation about going to cedar point is that it may obselete these parkes around here in my mind.

Cedar Point is the best!! Here in Detroit it is probably the closest major theme park, so it is the one I visit the most. I've been to Six Flags and Busch Gardens but Cedar Point has the best coasters. If you are a big coaster fan I suggest you make a trip up there, it is well worth it!

broken cable or something.

YIKES!! Of all rides, I hope they repair that one correctly!!  :eek2:

When we were at Busch Gardens, Alpengeist had been down briefly for repairs. When it was up again, the very line I was in, the repairmen were working there..made me feel a little nervous, but I got on and had a great time!! :D

Oh, I definitely meant a roadtrip to Carowinds or Busch Gardens, not Cedar Point. Which one is better?

simply awesome!!!

that makes the free-fall type rides look like the tea cups!!! :D
I like how most of the drops have a 1/4 corkscrew in them too.

niiiiiiiiice. I've Always wanted to spend some serious time at C.P., but now it's even more imperative. :D

In my opinion Busch Gardens is a better park....is it very clean..lots of pretty flowers and they have shows...the Irish Thunder Dance Show is good...It is probably about the same driving time...if you to to Busch Gardens, let me know, and I will give you the directions the way we go...pretty countryside! ;)

Good News about the Flight of fear at Kings Dominion. The soulder restraints are gone, and there is now a lap bar. No more banging heads on that ride!

That is good news..the first time I rode it, I got off with a headache cause my head was bouncing between the shoulder harness like a pinball...now to deal with the same problem on the Anaconda....

O.K. I am hooked. I spent yesterday at Kings Dominion. A little more crowded than last Thursday though. The drop zone was working this time. I took some pictures, sp check them out. I did not ride because of the shoulder harness thing, but it was still very fun to watch.

I tried to post some pictures, but something went wrong. I will try again tomorrow. I am tired. :)

Crap! This did not work either. Can someone host the pictures for me? They are pretty large files.
