How cruel for Buffalo fans. Both the Carolina and Buffalo tickets were reportedly in the mail prior to the puck drop for game 7. That's just cruel to get that shiny silver ticket in the mail after a loss showing you what "could have been".
With some of what I saw from the Buffalo contingent, I'm probably not going to get too worked up over it, but that is still one cruel piece of mail to be receiving if you're on the losing end of this deal!

Well, I was savvy enough to run multiple browsers simultaneously at 8:00 AM today to score good tickets for games 1, 2, and 5. Unfortunately, I then opted to use TM's ticketFast option. Thus, the only tangible keepsake I'll have will be 8.5 x 11" sheets from my printer.
P.S. - Might not be a good idea to publish those bar codes on the Web.....

Yeah! Aren't they great! Got mine at work.... after dealing with my co-workers little practical joke.
When I got back from a lunch break. One of 'em goes, "Hey, Shawn, we celebrated Karen's birthday while you were gone, 'cause she only planned to work a half-day today. There's some strawberry shortcake in the fridge for you."
So, I go in our kitchen. Open the fridge and my FedEx pack is laying right there on the shelf. So, my tickets are nicely chilled-- kind of like being in the RBCC!
Seeing those babies is sweet---but damn! No strawberry shortcake!! That sounded so GOOD!!!!

Having problems with FEDEX. Did anyone else NOT get your tickets but an email saying that if you did not get them by EOD today to call your local FEDEX to pick them up in person. I called.. and mine are still sitting at the Atlantic Ave office in Raleigh. So I have to go there tomorrow between 9-5 to get them myself. WTF is up with that???

most likely they are sig required (which is a Good thing).. so if you weren't there to get them... yeah, you'll have to pick them up.
I've picked up from that fedex way after 5 though. pretty sure I've gotten items from them closer to 7... though it has been awhile. maybe things have changed.

Actually I was specifically told that NO signature was required! My husband greeted the FedEx guy at the door who immediately said "You must be Caniacs." Gee, the huge house flag and the delivery gave it away, lol. My husband humored the driver by opening the tickets so the poor guy could look at what kept him so busy all day!

Went over to the RBC to pick up our tickets from Will Call yesterday and the Eye was crazy then. Overheard an employee say that they were completely out of car flags---the person that was asking was telling them how their's was broken off their car by Buffalo fans after the game and the employee told him that a ton of people are coming in and saying the exact same thing.

They DO look nice, and since I'll want to keep them in nice shape, I searched high and low for my old ticket holder lanyard thingy they gave out in 2002. I found it, along with the 2002 SCF commemorative pin, and these babies:

Does anyone know where i can get one of those necklace ticket holders. Freepark called them a lanyard. I want to keep my tix pristine so i can frame them after the four games. :D
I checked The Eye hoping maybe they would have some but no luck. I cant think of anywhere else to look.

I went to the local FedEx office today and picked mine up.
I'm still going to email myself the bar codes for one of the tickets though.
For one seat, I am going to frame the entire set of tickets in a rectangle frame with the left half being the tickets and the right half being a picture of either the 'Canes around the Prince of Whales Trophy, or of Rod holding up the Stanley Cup.
Of course I'd MUCH rather it be the latter.

they didn't have the lanyards at the Eye at all this year. I looked for one for a friend and was told early on that was not an item they ordered. mine is from 01-02 I think and it's held up really well. Guy is right though, they were give aways during the finals last time and RBC gave them away at the draft. I'd like a new one myself.

You'd think they may have ordered some of those lanyards, knowing that we'll have these tickets and all. Perhaps they have some coming in with the 'Monday order' they are expecting.....
Mr. Socal pulled out the giveaways from 2002 and put our tickets for tommrorow in them, hub's a collector type, so everything gets 'preserved' and whoa, these things look brand new, so we're in very good shape.
I wonder if they might do giveaways again this time????

Thought id share my brainstorm about keeping my tickets safe in case anyone wants to follow suit. I made my own Lanyard just in case they dont give any out.
I got what i needed from Office Max at crossroads but im sure any office store would do. I got a package of neck hanging lanyards (back rows on the left about two rows from center) and a package of 5x8 top loading vinyl envelopes (2nd row in the front next to the printers).
Simply take the envelope and hole punch the top, attach the lanyard, and voila. Simple and effective. You can make two for about $10 with a two pack of lanyard or you can make 10 for about $13 with the lanyard 10 pack.
