Well, we're moving. The Army does that to you from time to time. But we're still Caniacs, so the price of this move is going to be ordering Center Ice at the next post so I can keep up with my team. Which sparked a couple questions for those who have ordered it in the past.
Is there a Center Ice broadcast, or is it a feed of the FoxSportsNet broadcast with John and Tripp calling the game?
Do they broadcast all Canes games, or just the ones shown on FSN? In other words, if it's not on in Raleigh, will I be able to get it on CI?
Is it worth getting? (I know this is a moot point for me, since I'm definately getting it or else I won't see any games at all, but I'm more wondering if there's anything special about it, or if it's no big deal, unless you're moving 1,000 miles away...)
Thanks for any info!

Hello, there is not a seperate center ice broadcast. You either get John and Tripp or the other team's broadcasters. I am not sure how Canes games work outside of Raleigh since I am in Raleigh, but I highly doubt every game would be on.. you should get most though which is a whole lot more than you would get otherwise! May want to check this thread about center ice:

These two I can definitely answer...the times I've seen Center Ice, it is usually a feed of the FoxSportsNet broadcast for one of the two teams playing a game. So, it's a 50/50 chance that it'll be John and Tripp, which will more than likely depend upon how close the game is to you and/or if both teams' FSN/local crews are working the game. Also, I'm sure Center Ice shows all games, if not most...the only games I've known them not to shown are the ones on ESPN.
As for Center Ice being worth getting, a definite yes, especially if you have certain teams you want to follow that are far away for decent coverage, like the Canes in your case Logans.

Thanks for the quick replies! So that's cool, it'll be like the broadcasts I've come to know and love, unless I'm catching it as an away game with the other guys calling it. Excellent. :smoke:

It was nice to see the Canes on their out west trip and have John and Tripp doing their thing... I watched other teams even more than I thought I would...
Best of luck to you and your family .....keep in touch! :spin:

Thanks, JeffO, and I definately will keep in touch. The only other Canes fans I know are on this board...sadly, I haven't been able to convince any of my friends to try out hockey. They all watch football.
With any luck, I'll disappear for a couple weeks in July/August while we move, and then be back as usual.
