Good luck to Batesy in the playoffs. The bar owners in town are definitely NOT the only ones to see him go...but they may be sadder than most ;)
Funny they mention he had five playoff goals but is not a scoring threat. Batesy is a grinder and grinders are the kind of guys that get net in the playoffs due to the much higher physical nature.
Still though, I think we have a natural scorer to replace him. Good trade for both.

Battaglia is not a scoring threat overall, he can mop up some garbage goals that is true. even though he had 5 goals in the playoffs last season, I think she was including that in her idea that bates' numbers from last season are an abberation. that scoring 21 goals will only happen every now and then for him.

MCAngel...I didn't Bates personally...but I know from meeting him at practices and at the Jimmy V...he was a super nice guy..
I think alot of folks talk about him because he enjoys his life as a gorgeous, 27-year-old NHL player!! Ain't nothing wrong with that, is there?? :D
..oh and the forum pretty much crashed so it is a little different now and is being re-created kinda sorta!!
