They've already got Scott Walker on our team, but the Patrick Dwyer link takes you to a track-and-field athlete! I've got to give them a hand for attempting to keep hockey rosters updated this time of year. Someone there must be a "specialist."

I'm not sure, but I don't think there is much of a "there" to Wikipedia. It's mostly updated by users. They have folks on staff to review the submissions, but I think most entries are user-written. Some Canes fan is on the ball.

Yeah, there is a Canes fan on the ball. The updates are usually very quick.

Any idea when we might find out what numbers our new guys will be wearing? Anybody got any guesses?

Yup, Wikipedia is a completely user-run site (with the exception of a few cases where "higher-ups" step in), so you can credit all the quick updates to the loyal fans.

Why is it that every time I try to list Paul Coffey as a Hall of Famer for our team that it gets deleted? I've tried 3 or 4 times and they keep taking it away...did he not play for us, and is he not in the Hall?
Sorry for the rant...Wikipedia is just awesome for stuff like this, though.

Add it, but make sure to make note of it in the Discussion section. Request that if someone is going to delete it that they justify their reasoning, as well.

I miss Paul Coffey a bit, such a great backwards skater. That first season in the ESA when it came down to the last game of the regular season and it became clear that we weren't going to make the playoffs, he looked as disappointed as I've ever seen anyone look.

Well, since it's user updated, a lot of our guys need a photo. I'm clueless on technology and still use film, but if I get any decent shots I'll try to upload them.

He was an amazing competitor. I think that's the same look he used to shoot Bobby Clarke every now and then. The curse of Philly strikes again.
