Any of you fellow LGCers attend NCSU football games. Only 27 days left until kickoff . Ill be at every game, creating havoc in the student section (hopefully Ill get seats in the new NEZ). We should try to get an LGC tailgate together if anyone else comes.
Heres a sweet countdown site with a song that makes me smile just a bit more than the brass bonanza.

I'm the designer for The Wolfpacker ... so I wind up following pretty closely. Was kind of pissed to find out Jamelle Eugene changed his number (think it's to 29 from 28)right as our cover with him, Baker and Brown was being mailed out. Erg.

Thats cool that youre the designer for the mag, but Im a happy premie at PP ;), also not cool that he changed the number, maybe a red sharpie on all the covers shall help? Im officially over the hill as a student, so Im hoping that Chuck can make something special out of these next 2 seasons. The QB situation is still making my stomach churn though.

Meh .. i don't work on the Web sites ... just the print version. And our mag blows theirs away. They put all their effort into the cover and nothing anywhere else.

So tell me - how impossible would it be to go out and buy a few tickets for this game today from a reseller/scalper? Is that even a possibility? Thought maybe the holiday weekend would shake loose a few seats.
Looks like a great night for football - too bad it's not on TV.

Yeah - bagged the idea about 15 minutes after posting. Figured it would be a nightmare just to get out there.

It's not so bad if you time it right. Unfortunately, that means leaving ridiculously early even if you're not tailgating. 90 minutes before kickoff (and usually closer to two hours), the journey from campus to a parking spot that's still half a mile from C-F is longer than an hour.

hahahahhahahahahahhahahahah that made my day
I actually got 2 tickets (not together) for a total of $35 bucks just before gametime. This will be much tougher probably for the bigger games. And it was easier to get individual tickets rather then looking for 2.

I believe that's the first time we've lost to a MAC team since 1974.

has anyone ever noticed that north carolina teams seem to lose in groups (ie, unc, ncsu, duke, the panthers all lost this sunday, and sometimes they'll all win)?

I've never noticed it, but the Panthers have an excuse. State, Carolina, and Duke are just plain terrible.

Can I just say that I'm tired of all the penalties? There is no discipline on this team at all that I can see. Before Amato became HC, FSU was tops in penalties. Now, seems like NCSU is always vying for that spot. I was happy when Amato came to NCSU as FSU was always tops in the NCAA. But, with that said, he's still not getting enough from this team to be tops and that disappoints me. Lucky for him, State had Rivers for 4 years and that made him look good but Rivers is gone and someone on that team needs to step up.

And again, as I was listening to this game on Saturday, all I heard was NCState penalty. Almost 100 yards in Penalties. Absolutely freaking ridiculous!!!!!! I couldn't listen to it anymore. In a way, I'm glad I don't get the games down here because now, I won't even be compelled to watch.
Bad game Saturday. Plus the guy w/my last name (although no relation) gets ejected. Way to go Tank!!:fire:

I watched the Final Catch for a TD, and I think Stae Got Lucky you could see the ball between the recivers legs, I am not sure he ever had control. But regardless good win for state.

True conversation between me and ladypredator as we were watching the game:
State's going to get a TD right here, you watch.
"Why do you say that?"
Because I absolutely cannot, no matter how hard I try, take seriously a team whose coaching staff wears polo shirts and hats with the O RLY? owl on them.

Come on. He clearly had control, got both feet down, then got clobbered and hung on to the ball. Yes, he bobbled it before he came down, but he control before either foot even touched.

I was atually talking about after he got hit when he is out of bounds I could clearly see yhe ball between his legs, weather he had control I'm not sure, the never showed enough replays. The way states luck has been with the refs its probably a good thing thdont have a zillion camera angles like the nfl,

Well, I guess, I'm not allowed to watch these games. I left the game with 2 minutes + or - left to go in the game, come back to see them celebrating and wondering WTF? why would they be doing that? Then they show the replay. Well, I'm happy State won, beat a top 25 team and all, but still, they need to control those unsportsmanlike/late hits/dead ball stuff. That irks me to know end.
Nice of the announcers to talk up my man Tank after last weeks episode. WTG Tank!

Commie hoisted the Cup to a rather thunderous cheer... they seemed in awe. And they got a pretty long cheer out of it too. I screamed my ass off until i lost sight of the Cup.
the guys looked like they were eating it up. you have to figure, this is the first time they've been infront of 50-60 thousand...

Well, maybe some of those guys. After the 2002 Stanley Cup Run, most of the guys came to the 1st home game at NCSU that fall where they were "honored" in a way. I know the team stood in a line underneath what would become the Jumbotron. After the pre game stuff, they were all walking around the concourse. I know there was a lot of cheering at that one too. :D
Okay, so there was no Stanley Cup, but they were there ;)
