Sad news from Canezilla

Yesterday, Chad's stepfather suffered a brain aneurism. It was a massive bleed and he was left in pretty bad shape. About an hour ago, he was declared brain dead.

Chad & his family are pretty shook up, as you can imagine. Any prayers or offers of support would be appreciated.

Ray died yesterday. It was horrible to say goodbye, he was brain dead from noon on and went down for organ donation surgery at 6 pm. We were at the hospital until 10 pm and at that point had been up awake for 52 hours straight. I was seriously impaired in driving and thankfully Hillie's, Chad's dad (Ray was his stepfather) followed us and helped me get Chad in bed, I was just too exhausted to see straight much less lift him into bed. I collapsed after fixing Chad's pressure sores (took an hour) and slept until 1 pm. I am fighting sleep now for some stupid reason, but just want to THANK YOU so much. It means SO much to Chad even though he cannot post here due to computer access issues. He loves this group and thank you for still caring about us. -- Ami and stickdropper and Canezilla

Ditto on sentiments reflected above. We've lost 2 close fmily members in the past year, and I can't imagine what you guys are going through. Be there for each other as well as you can and don't forget- you have all of us to lean on!!
