Haven't heard anything but I'm pretty sure he's done for the season.

I did see something a few days ago that said there's no reason to bring him back for the last few games, they're just going to let him rest and recover.
if I come across the article, I'll post it.

Jesse has not been practicing at all. He did so a few weeks back (in a no-contact jersey) and went on that 3 game road trip, but that is when his symptoms returned and I've heard nothing indicating he's cleared to practice.
The only "wounded" that has shown back up at real practices (Roddy has been skating for conditioning seperately and not holding a stick from what I can tell) is Jaro. The paper this morning indicated that he's not 100% and they weren't going to push it at all. It also indicated that Jan is the most likely to show up before the season is over.

He went down hard wwhen he got smacked. I have posed this thought before under my old moniker, but I wonder if Boulerice willbe able to come back in his old form and jump into fights with reckless abandon. He may have "the fear" and be a different skater after his jaw shattered like glass.

I agree. It would be such a shame for that to become a career-limiting event, just when Jesse seemed to be getting such a great chance.
BTW, what was your old login name?

John Forsland said Monday after practice that Jesse was not recovering as quickly as they hoped he would. Apparently, he is still have significant post-concussion syndrome and they are hoping with more time, it will get better. Must be really hard for Jesse to deal with it taking this long.

I also was scared he might not be the fighter he was, but hopefully with his strong will, he wont let it get him down, and will be out there battling with the best of them.
I thought his jaw was ok, he just got a concussion, i thought that was just a rumor about his jaw??

Also with a concussion he can only be reevaluated on a weekly basis. So if its just enough to keep him from playing then it won't be for another week before he can be cleared again.
I hope we see him return though, he was getting to be one of my fav players. I'm thinking of getting a new jersey (red this time since next year they will be at home in red) and I'm between Boulerice and Svoboda (I have Kapanen right now) but I don't know what their status will be as of this summer for being lowell or nhl.

If you are referring to what i wrote about his jaw, I was taking some poetic license and used a boxing term about him having a glass jaw, meaning he can be knocked out easily. sorry to confuse if what i rote did indeed cause the confusion

Worrell sucks...I can't think of a better way for Jesse to "get back on the saddle" than by beating the shi* out of him!!! :spin:
Speaking of Worrell, has anyone managed to track down a pic of Jesse with is fist cocked over ol' Pete?

I see what you are saying about his confidence also. I dont know, I just hope he is alright with what ever decision they make. He is a tough dude though, he should be alright..http://smilies.sofrayt.com/1/950/boxing.gif

I hope he doesn't play another minute this season. There is nothing to be gained and everything to be lost. His recovery has been so slow that it's just not worth the risk of one of the Leafs setting him back or worse.
There will be plenty of time next season when the games matter.

He didn't play tonight so I guess they will rest him for the remainder of the season!

Well John Forslund confirmed what everyone thought. If we still had a chance this season Jesse would be ready to be back, but there is no point in risking re-injury at this point.
