I have tickets to tonight's game... driving in from Mount Airy, NC. (Near Winston-Salem) I was wondering if this will affect the game tonight or my trip to Raleigh?

Drive in on I-40, not US-64 and you'll be fine other than the typical Friday night traffic clusterbuck around here.... The issue you speak of is south of US-64 but has closed parts of that road from time to time. I live one neighborhood away from the evac zone, but I don't have a whole lot of options in terms of leaving my house via roadway because of all the closed roads, etc...

Evan- you'd be coming in away from Apex- which is southwestern Wake County- not close enough to effect Raleigh. Stay on 40.

The good news for me & Mr. Socal is, Hwy 55 has REOPENED and I'm no longer trapped in west Apex. :D Hopefully smooth sailing on US1 once we pass Ten-Ten Rd. to get to West Raleigh for the game.

I'm in Apex (the western, un-evacuated side) and coming up 64 will be fine. It's open to traffic. You just can't turn into downtown Apex.

Looks like it is not as bad as it could have been. I know at least one of our players lives in the vicinity near where all of this happened.
