My wife and I were at the Cup display a few weeks ago at the RBC for STHs. Both of us got our hats autographed by the Cup Keeper. It wasn't Mike Bolt or the other regular, but a third guy. I couldn't decipher his name, but it looks like Bill Mills, Wills, Miller or something like that. Anybody know who was guarding the Cup?

I think that it was Walt. I can not think of his last name, but it is something that sounds like "numbered" I believe.

It's Bill Wellman . ;)I got to say hi to him again at that STHer Cup party, cause he was also at the private Cup event that I attended, just the week prior; he's made the rounds with the Cup to all the other stuff that went on around here. And he made a bunch of friends....:lol: Nice guy.

Not really :angel: -- SoCal and I just super sluethed it after getting a chance to meet him and not knowing which one (obviously not Phil or Mike) and it was quite an accomplishment to ID him.

After a few beers, I can be quite chatty (shocking - I know :laugh: ) so we chatted it up a few weeks ago. Caught up again at the STH photo op and the NJ game. Nice guy - likes it down here and said that everyone in Raleigh was as nice as could be. Seemed particularly taken with the southern accent, of which I have none, but he mentioned it numerous times, lol.

E, I didn't notice you being chatty due to drinking- I just thought it was chatty because of giddiness. :lol: You know, the whole mesmerized by the Cup thing, that we're now totally over! ;)

you jumped clear across the concourse grabbed me and went "BOOO!" laughed your asss off then talked at a hundred miles an hour about some edmontonian reporter who misquoted you, you found him and was all "WTF IS THAT ABOUT, G" and he apologized and you felt special.

quite possibly one of my most favoirte concourse memories

OK, Bill Wellman it is. I guess I can see that in his signature. Sorta like you can see an entire animal in the sky at night as defined by two stars. Those ancient Greeks had a lot of imagination, too.
