View Full Version : Not really Canes...Stolen stick alert...

Hi everyone. I normally lurk, but I know a few of you are involved in adult hockey, so I thought I'd send out a note. I play in the C league at the Ice House. We had a game tonight in Cary, and before the game, while I was in the locker room, someone stole my stick. It's a pretty distinctive stick:

It's more sentimental than valuable. Someone had to go out of their way to take it. I'm just asking that if you see anyone (adult or kid) playing hockey with a pink, intermediate Mission (75 flex)...beat up (I took these for a blog a few weeks ago):

...and they haven't used one previously please PM me. I don't think an adult male will be brave enough to use it. I'm speculating that an adult male took it for their kid. I know most of the women in Raleigh who play, so it would be silly for a woman to take it and then take the ice.

I love this stick very much and would love to get it back...if someone "finds" it and returns it to someone at the Ice House, I won't ask any questions. I just want it back. It gives me my defensive mojo and I feel lost without it. Did I mention I love it?

hopefully you find the pink stink... because like i was saying in the parking lot, its like stealing a freaking ferrari... nobody else owns one. totally lame to take it

Thanks puck_it. People are so mean sometimes. I told ya I had pictures. Hehehehe... :) If that doesn't prove how much I love the thing, I don't know what does. I dedicated an entire blog to how wonderful it is!

Crisis averted!

The assistant coach for the Raleigh Storm Girls travel team mistakenly thought one of his players left the stick at the Ice House and picked it up. It was just a misunderstanding. I'm getting my mojo back tonight.

Awesome.

We were discussing who had been there earlier (9:00 game) and couldn't think of anyone who would take it, so it's good to know that it was just a case of mistaken stick identity.

nccanes--this wasn't the only forum I went nuts in. :) I also sent emails out to all of our league's captains. He was very apologetic and adamant that it wasn't stolen...hehehe. So much for him trying to do a good deed, huh?

Hehehe...I had to call off the swat team. :) I sent a proxy to pick my stick up this evening and he refused to take it out of the rink without a sticker on it saying it was being picked up for me...he was scared people would think he was the perp!

Dude! I LOVE Tom Jones. He's one sexy beast...especially with his teeth that are so white they're almost blue...oh...and that scar on the top of his head from his latest facelift. ...but still...ooh....Tom Jones...he's the Sexbomb...

I've discovered that I never execute hasty plans with any elegance or dignity, but they do usually work. Well, usually. Mostly. Okay, some of the time. More yes than no. *sigh* Alright, perhaps 2 out of 10.
