um, I almost hate to even say this.. but did we re-sign Cole when I wasn't looking? Please tell me he isn't a free agent at midnight? Surely I am just forgetting it because it was so quick and easy right?

I think he got the qualifying offer to retain his RFA status (except Hlavac/Tselios), along with the others in that same category. Still need to agree to a contract though.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Cole is a RFA and I think that is a different deadline. I believe I read July 15 for that group RFA. Maybe JR and Cole do have it worked out and it just hasn't been announced. I know I read Cole and his wife just bought a house in the area and I don't think JR has any intention of letting him get away.

The funny part of that story is that JR originally said *88* which got these
guys going nuts thinking Lindros was coming. THen JR said....*Oh did I
say 88??, I meant 80*. Then he laughed.
