Lowell Lock Monsters Home Jersey worn by #25 Bruno St. Jacques. Acquired by the Carolina Hurricanes in a mid-season trade,

Okay.. I need a break. I know JR doesn't always get much for his trades but this is the part that I read and thought huh... we acquired a jersey in a trade. Interesting.

our new jersey may be pretty and expensive, but can it play defense ;)

Depends.http://www.jordysworld.de/emoticons/conf46.gif Did it accept a qualifying offer or is it going to test the free market. Since its on Ebay.. seems the free market is the way it wanted to go. See .. again we make a trade and get nothing from it. Wonder if we qualify for a draft pick....hmmmm. I'll miss that jerseyhttp://www.jordysworld.de/emoticons/trau38.gif....it wasn't much on the ice but was good in the locker room.

there, there, it will be OK. it could be worse. it could have been Fedorov's jersey and then it would have been too puffed up and self important to fit in the package for it's new home  we just have to be grateful we had the jersey at all :)

NO comment on Guin and a BRUNO jersey.. :eek2: ;) :p

and talking, you are so right...if it were to be Federov's jersey...it would have to be on 10 pages on Ebay rather than the 1 it took for Bruno!! The head hole alone would need 5 pages!!! LMAO :D

Dang....that is pretty good...of course if they had it at the Canes Auction booth at the arena, they may have gotten more for it...

I wonder if the buyer plans to frame it? I'd be afraid to wear it after paying that much. I know I'd spill something on it 10 minutes after I put it on and I'd never get it clean just because I paid that much for it!

I know some of you will faint over this post..but one day I was chatting with Wally at the RecZone and the auction table came up. Wally said before Tanabe was married, a girl paid $3,000 for a game worn jersey of his!!!  :eek2: **gets out smelling salts** ;)

The Canes made him the qualifying offer in order to retain the rights to Bruno. They can then negotiate on a final number, or either side can stand firm. Bruno's choices are really just to accept the amount, or not play. Other teams can make an offer, but the Canes have the right to match that amount - something I think is extremely unlikely to happen. I'm sure he'll sign and all will be well. :)
