Center Ice has shown a few of them in the past, but they usually announce it one day in advance (if they announce it at all). Check out http://www.tsn.ca/world_jrs/feature/?fid=4124 for dates and times as they'd use the TSN feed.

Thanks VC! I had kinda given up and figured that I'd be settling for listening to it on XM. Though I'm not sure I'm THAT interested to listen. But sitting around in my jammies watching on the 26th sounds nice!

Just watched the loss on Tivo to the German team; Joe Barnes one of our prospcts is playing as is Jamie McBain, so if you do have CI, it'll be worth it to check out the USA v Canada matchup tommorow. I don't know how well the American Juniors will do, but it was good to see them anyway.
And yeah, I'll mention him even though he's not ours anymore; didn't forget about Jack Johnson; just didn't bring him up til now; he looked like you'd expect- full of the potential he's exhibited. Funny, I no longer seem to have hard feelings I've moved on lol.

USA lost to Canada 6-3 :(
but beat Slovakia today 6-1. They play Sweden tomorrow. They need to either win, or lose in OT to jump over Germany to advance.
JacK Johnson played really well today.

JJ is the hero today. The Swedes tied the game with 10 seconds left and then JJ scored in OT in the final second of a PP.
The USA moves on.
Wonder why this one wasn't on CI.

E- I was looking everywhere for that game, I'm wondering why they didn't show it either; good for JJ he was the hero.
Jack Johnson was very undisciplined in yesterday's game vs Slovakia- I liked what Pierre Maguire said about him taking those penalties and the ill timed pinch vs Slovakia- "he's bored, he's not challenged and Carolina saw that; and that's why they tried 3 times to lure him out of Michigan"
He does have the goods though. I hope eventually he'll pull it all together and get rid of the discipline thing. That Pat Kane is awesome- he's probably making a case to move up for the draft for sure.
I really wish one of the networks would pick this tournament up. I know it's asking alot, but dang, it's a really awesome thing, and I hate that it gets no coverage here.
I heard Gary Green of XM talking about how it's so important for the US team to get real TV coverage on the Jr's tourney, he talked about how in Canada it's all about the national pride, and how the whole country is watching which adds to the pressure of it, and it would do the USA team good to have that kind of pressure knowing that people back home are watching, which for us, that may be stretching it, but I got his point. I know it'll never be that hockey gets sooooo much attention especially on a junior level, but it would be great. Lots to ask for but it would be cool.
Seems like they're starting to come together. I'm still puzzled as to why Bobby Ryan was left off the team roster this year, but hey, I'm not the decision maker there. But it is bizzare IMO.
Go USA. :usa:

Nothing on Center Ice yesterday which disappointed Mr. Socal who had the day off with all the other federal employees for President Ford's funeral/day of mourning - Team USA won vs Finland heading to the medal round.....
They're playing Canada right now- (audio on USAHockey.com) and I guess the TSN broadband is also on too..............
Here's yesterday's write up:
2007 IIHF World Junior Championshiphttp://www.usahockey.com/images/pixel_transparent.gifWith its slow start, Team USA thankful for 'another crack' at Canada
By James MacDonald
usahockey.com
After a pair games that were “must-win” if the 2007 U.S. National Junior Team wanted to advance to the medal round at the 2007 IIHF World Junior Championship, Tuesday’s game vs. Finland provided a must-win scenario of another sort.
Whereas the four-game preliminary round offers a number of ways to advance, including Team USA’s 1-1-1-1 ledger in 2007, the quarterfinals allow for only one way to the next round: win.
The United States did just that Tuesday in Mora, Sweden, and earned a ticket to play on the tournament’s last day. They’ll take Thursday off and play Friday, but, first, Canada awaits.
“I think everybody in the locker room is kind of hoping for another crack at them,” said Team USA captain Taylor Chorney after last night’s game. “We’ve been getting better every game this tournament and another opportunity at Canada is huge for us. The way we’ve been playing right now, I think we should give them a good run.”
Team USA finished third in its five-team pool, thanks in part to a 6-3 loss to Canada on the tournament’s second day. After that, the United States took advantage of the two off-days that followed and has been on a roll since.
“Those two days off that we had, I think everyone just came together,” Chorney said. “We had some time where it was just the team back at the hotel. It was just like when we were at Under-18s.” (That was a tournament at which Team USA finished first and topped Canada in the final by a count of 5-1 with many of the same players. Jeff Frazee made 48 saves in the final. For more on that tournament, click here (http://www.usahockey.com/usa_hockey/international/main/usa_hockey/05u18wc_home/).)
Chorney has recorded four points in the tournament, including two assists vs. Finland. The team’s leading scorer, Pat Kane, meanwhile, added three more points to his total and ranks tied for first in scoring with eight points. Erik Johnson also ranks among the scoring leaders with seven points, as do Peter Mueller (six), Nate Gerbe (six) and Jack Skille (five). All scored points last night.
“More than anything, everyone has bought in,” Chorney said. “We’re starting to do what the coaches are telling us and it’s starting to show.”
Since starting with an OT loss to Germany and that loss to Canada, Team USA has scored 15 goals, while allowing six. The team started the ball rolling with a 6-3 win over Slovakia, then followed that with a 3-2 overtime win over Sweden. The team barely reached these quarterfinals, but made the most of their appearance on Tuesday.
With a power play that was nearly dormant in the first two games, it has progressed to the point of connecting on four goals vs. Finland. The team is 8-for-23 in its last three games.
“It’s taken us some time to gel as a group and to play for each other,” said head coach Ron Rolston. “Hopefully, all that has sunk in and we’re ready to go.”
Against Canada the first time around, Team USA allowed the game’s first three goals before closing to within 3-2 and, later, 4-3. Canada went on to close out the preliminary round with the pool’s best record and a bye to the semis, while the United States scratched and clawed its way back into contention.
“They’re an excellent hockey team,” Rolston said of Canada. “They’re really strong from the net out. Their D-core is extremely strong. We’re going to have to certainly keep the game simple and try to get to their net as best as we can.”
Team Canada enters the game undefeated and has not lost a WJC game since 2004. It has been resting since its final preliminary round game. Team USA enters having played a 7:30 p.m. game nearly an hour-long drive from its hotel and turning around for a 4 p.m. start on Wednesday.
“We’re all in pretty good shape, you know,” said Chorney when asked if rest will be a problem. “We’ve all been playing half of a season now. I think mentally now more than anything we have to refocus on Canada. I don’t think our conditioning will be a problem.”
Of course, it is also a rivalry game. Albeit one where Canada holds a 23-5-3 WJC advantage. Here in 2007, though, Team USA has scored three of the four goals Canada has allowed.
“I think everybody’s rival in this tournament is Canada,” Chorney said. “They’ve been the best team in this tournament for a few years now and I think someone’s looking to take them down.”

I forgot to set the DVR, but I've got my XM here so I'm listening.
USA 1 - Canada 0 halfway thru the 2nd period! :usa:
Yeah SoCal, I was annoyed yesterday, it was listed on CI in the morning, but when I tuned in at 1:30 it said "no longer available".

Don't know for sure, but I think you'll be fine. I noticed that the list of games on 731 had previous games listed, but the on-line guide never had it (though yesterday by game time it did, though they'd canceled the game by then).
Hopefully you'll be ok!

Well you guys are up one on us DirecTV'ers as it showed nothing on CI last night or this morning when I left for my office; very haphazard the way they've got the TV thing set up.
Hopefully the kids can hang on!

 Thanks, guys, but I was trying to find something similar to NHL's super stats. Junior hockey's so far outside my radar that I don't know the names of any of the players, so trying to listen is pretty hard 'cause half the time I can't tell which team has the puck!!
When he mentions, "Staal," is that Jared? And the U.S. team has two "Johnson's," right?
SoCalcaniac
01-03-2007, 12:00 PM
Staal, CL Jared's too young- so it would be Marc, 2005 pick for the NYR's...who we shoulda picked instead of you-know-who  ;)
Yep 2 Johnsons- Johnson #1 is JJ; and Johnson #2 would be STL's Erik #1 pick last year, plays for Univ of Minnesota....
*** crap 1-1!

Now, I wish I hadn't listened to the last two periods. I really didn't care, one way or the other before. But now that I listened, I'm a little vested, so now... I'm sad. .......
Damn you, kids, for making me care!!!

I've gotten used to the shootout in the NHL, but that was some wacky format. Once the first 3 shoot you can just keep using the same guys over and over? Seems like a real psyche-job on the goalie trying to guess if they are going to use the same move x3 or switch it up every time. Like using "rock" in Rock,Paper,Scissors over and over and leave your opponent to guess if this is the one time you'll switch to paper.
I wonder when the Canadians will stop booing JJ. Seems like it would be more meangingful if it hadn't stemmed from the elbow thrown at the chump Downie. When USA met Canada the first time, even Pierre Maguire was saying most had come to believe that there was little contact and that Downie had embellished. Of course, that doesn't excuse JJ of the attempt, but it seems odd that the booing has followed him this long and far.
So......go Russia (or Sweden if they end up winning).

LMAO! Mr SHC just came home complaining about that broadcast!! Is still complaining about it, actually.
And apparently Downie got "elbowed" again? Wonder how long before they figure out he embellished that one.

well the reason it wasn't on TV yesterday is because TSN didn't show the USA game but chose to play the other game going on (which was a little crazy, considering the winner of the USA game was playing THEM today)....
and then the game today *SEMI FINAL* WAS shown on TSN and NOT on CENTER ICE> I mean, WTF???????????????????????????
well we lost in 7 rounds of shoot outs!!! UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
from what it sounds like is the Americans outplayed the Canadians except for *of course* their goalie.
so many comments on TSN said it was the best game they have seen in JR HOCKEY in years. Of course if USA would of won, they may not even have said that.
anyway.....disappointing. USA played four games in five nights and did not show it.......except sounded like they got their chemistry together.

So I'm a dumbass - sitting here presuming my XM 204 would switch over to the USA/Sweden game when it began. When it got to 11am I decided to look at the USAHockey website to find it was in progress (2nd period).
Oh well.

Good for you boys! I bet it was harder than heck to play this game knowing they coulda been in the Gold Medal game, so kudos for sure.

We know how much much it means to our neighbors to the north. So congrats, and well done to those Juniors. Jonathan Toewes might be getting a call from the Blackhawks to come on out from North Dakota and join the team after this monster performance.....
