National Championship

OK guys, who is it going to be? Ohio State or Florida.

I'm going with the Buckeyes. One of my best friends from college is from Columbus, is a huge OSU fan, and taught me the Ohio State fight song (which I can still sing loud and off key 25+ years later), so I have to go with them. We were in college when Woody Hayes punched his way out of big time college football in the game against Clemson. Anyone else remember that little fiasco???

I nearly forgot about it until I heard them rundown the NHL game sched on XM and they said there was 1 game....at 10:30 EST. Then I was like "oh yeah - National Championship night".

Way too long a break.

I suppose I should pull for Florida...even though that's hard to do for this LSU gal.

But seriously.... it seems like all you have to do is fart, and you get invited to a bowl game. What were there-- like 130 of 'em or something? There were teams that didn't even have a winning record and they're in a friggin' bowl game! Geez!!!

At any rate... I thought all the crappy college crap was over at New Year's.

All the crappy stuff is over. This is the one that counts. I can't help it. I like football. Don't watch much during the regular season, but I'm all about a playoff game, or bowl game:D

I keep waiting for them to have The Tidy Bowl, sposored by Lysol! And they'd invite the $hittiest teams they can find, and make them play in a big muddy field, so that they'd even LOOK $hitty! :beatup:

Though a Wolfpack fan, I live in Florida right now, so yay, a national championship for a "home" team. Besides, I can't stand OSU, so I would have cheered for anyone. (I mean, I cheered for Michigan, and Im a Michigan State fan...it was hard for me)

Congrats to the Gators. Maybe the BCS should consider a schedule that doesn't give a team 51 days off before a bowl game. The Gators came to play and they did a great job.
